    Can't edit above post.

Ok I found the VIN ranges. I assume that it was discontinued in 1996 as I can't find any cars after this.

    1990-01 JN10RGZ32U0000001 JN10RGZ32U0004491 1992-03 4491 cars
    1991-09 JN10RGZ32U0010001 JN10RGZ32U0011122 1993-12 1122 cars
    1993-06 JN10RGZ32U0015001 JN10RGZ32U0015032 1994-08 32 cars
    1994-03 JN10RGZ32U0020001 JN10RGZ32U0020112 1996-03 112 cars
5857 cars for UK + Europe.

I'll start collecting them now but they take twice as long as they come from 2 different databases as I'm sure you know.

I did read it, thanks for your thoughts.

Rather than series1/2/3 etc, what term would you like me to use? I would still like to keep them separated as you can easily see when colours are introduced and continued, plus it keeps consistency on my site. Separate VIN range = different Type (differentiator) . I started with VR# (VIN Range #) for this reason.

    Cheers

Nissan UK stopped selling the 300zx in early 1994. So you should see the number of RHD cars manufactured falling
off to zero around that time. The rest of the cars should all be LHD until 1996.

Finished collecting the Europe + UK data, should be able to make time to get it online by the end of the week, if not during the weekend.

There is one interesting model code right at the end of the LHD cars - 01ZKRLGZ32JSQGIKW. Looks like a special model of some type - do you know what it is? I could only find one reference online which is in french:

    http://zclub.forumactif.com/t1765-combien-de-300-vendues-en-france
En effet, même message. Série spéciale.

Comme info sur le n° de modèle j'ai :

    Modèle : 01ZKRLGZ32JSQGIKW
    Produite en : 01/96

    Translated via google:
    Indeed, same message. Special series.

As info on the model number I have:

    Model: 01ZKRLGZ32JSQGIKW
    Produced in: 01/96

These are also the only Europe + UK cars to have 'C' for the interior code (Beige according to post #3).

5757 cars (made a typo earlier). 4209 LHD and 1548 RHD cars. There's no 1 of 1 colours unfortunately.

Mark, many thanks for all your efforts with the UK/Euro data. I'm sure it will be much appreciated by
the Club's menbers. I have no further information on 01ZKRLGZ32JSQGIKW but will ask our French 300ZX
    colleagues if they can help.

What did you mean by "There's no 1 of 1 colours unfortunately."?

As in there's not a car that is the only one produced in that colour (like JN10RGZ32A0000992 and JN10RGZ32A0005172).

However there is a car in the UK range that is the only one produced - JN10RGZ32U0001201 is the only KH6 RHD car - there are some LHD versions in this colour. Cheers

    Re: Model Code 01ZKRLGZ32JSQGIKW

This model number does not appear to be in the correct format.

    It could possibly be, KRLGZ32JSQGIKW

    K: Targa Roof
    R: VG30DE Series Engine
    L: Left Hand Drive
    G: 2+2
    Z32: Model Series
    J: GL Trim
    S: Twin Turbo
    Q: Euro Specification
    G: Automatic Air Conditioner
    I: ?????????????
    K: Dual Airbags
    W: Leather Package

Perhaps the VIN may allow the letter "I" to be decoded.

A few cars at the end Europe VIN range all have this:

Obviously it's a special version - I'm just not sure what it's called.

The I stands for ABS + Rear Spoiler.
