Comments: Hi guys, well what a week the zed just got written off as a repairable write off, Courtesy of some knob in a holden lease vehicle (yay), anyway i am wanting to find out a expression of interest for my car, its rough value now and if there's any offers i would be happy with I'm not selling right now unless the right price is offered, The car still starts/runs fine but will need a jig to repair the damage see pics. Around 12 months ago i had Eric from A2Zed do the 100k service, under plenum bypass + delete's and had him rebuild the stock turbo's so mechanically it's still mickey mouse with original km's, it has always been serviced every 5000kms and still has rego till end of november the car is completely original/stock bar a pod filter and 2 hard pipes.If i don't get enough interest I'll probably just part it or keep it myself, here's some pics of the car now any feedback or help appreciated cheers guys.

Thanks Rob, After a bit of digging around i have come up with a figure of $3750 so let me know what you guy's think, I'll try and get some interior pics up tonight cheers.

 

Part it out maybe? Funny enough you may get more than your asking price?

 

parting it out at this stage would be a waste i think, and i cant really get parts to postage as i have no car now so it would have to all be pick up, so would rather see the whole car go to a good home. pull the damage out with a jig then slap on new guards,bonnet and front bar and you have your self a good zed, there's no rail damage and its still registered. Im still considering keeping it yet as the insurance has more then taken care of me and given me the car back as a total loss so really just want to see what the interest is for now

 

Price drop!! ok if i can get the whole car gone by the 13th of this month I'll take $3000 firm (I only just spent $4k on the engine and turbo's at A2Zed 12 months ago)

 

Ok well i have had absolutely no interest in the car, so since stripping the front bar/rio bar off and the right front guard i have discovered that there really is not much damage at all should be a quick easy pull out and fix. The car still drove down the street and back perfect, so i think I'm keeping it and fixing it myself.

 

here's some pics of her pulled down and not looking so bad, can anyone give me a rough idea of what it would cost a panel beater to repair just the radiator support pull it all back and weld it? the rails and rest is perfect the rio bar and the support is all that bore the brunt, rest was cosmetic cheers guys.

If you have a mug welder or can get a hold of one... Cut that radiator support out of another car,,, or buy a new one (expensive) and weld it in yourself... By the looks of things it was a straight and square hit, so can't see how the chassis will be out. But get underneath with a mate at one end and run diagonal measurements from known symmetrical points too be sure of "squareness"
Buy all the other bits like fenders and stuff off a wrecking car in same colour or paint them.

 

yeah cheers mate, thats exactly what I'm doing now trying to find someone with a cheap upper radiator support everything else is fine, only thing is i can't weld for s**t so going to have to find someone who can do that for me on the cheap.......any handy welders in adelaide? willing to put on drinks and food with bit of cash for anyone who can do the welding job for me.

 

so is this car for sale or not? if not, then i will close this thread.
