AUS ZEDFEST #7 Show and Shine - Sunday 27th March 2016

For Zedfest this year, we are holding the Show and Shine at the primary accomodation location:

Colour City Caravan Park!

Start Time: 9:30AM (or whenever you roll out of bed!)
Show and Shine Finish: 2:00PM (or whenever you like really, but judging could go this late!!!)

Location: Colour City Caravan Park

Bring: chairs, shade (hats, suncrream etc), esky, drinks, good attitude, Zedfest #7 polo shirt!!!


For those who need a carwash, Pete's Carwash can be found in town.


Now as for the Show and Shine itself, we have managed to secure some fantastic sponsorship from:

• Karl at Epic Automotive (most will know him as 90TTZ)
• Charles from Powertrix in the US of A
• Aaron from Import Monster
• Rob from RGS Performance (that's Rob260 to you lot!)
• Matt from Nistune

I have stuff from all of these guys on my zed which you can see or come ask me about on the day


We wanted to do something a bit different on the trophy front this year, and without the support of these great sponsors, we wouldn't have anything to offer as tokens to appreciate the hard work (and/or money) that goes into keeping our zeds looking fancy and going fast! (special thanks to Benny C for some design help)

Now these super cool, fancy awards are a surprise that we will keep under wraps until the presentation dinner, but Cara and I received them yesterday, and they are fantastic! :zlove::br:

Most of the usual categories (some winner only, some winner and runner up) are up for grabs, as per the following:

People's Choice
Best Exterior
Best Interior
Best Engine Bay
In Car Entertainment
As Nissan Intended
Hard Luck Award

All of these will be judged by our peers, and we want this to be a fun event, so please keep that in mind on the day and at the dinner.

Non judged awards include:

Longest Drive - obviously google maps decides this one
Angrybear Memorial Award - 90TTZ will award this as he was recipient of the very first Angrybear award (I know he holds this award as one of the most special in his vast collection)
Lowrider Award - all 4 corners measured, road to arch, total /4. (note: must be driven to Zedfest at the height to enter, height adjustments over the weekend = disqualification!)



We think that this is going to be a top day out (well half a day!), putting ourselves and our cars on display to the public, so please no anti-social behaviour, hooning, burnouts etc etc, and rubbish in the bins! [TIS]


Finally, please make sure you take the time to wander around and engage with other zedders, and spark up a conversation about something you like about someone elses zed!

I will get to editing the original post at some stage, but it is with regret I have to announce that the show and shine will now be held at the primary accomodation location, Colour City Caravan Park.

This is purely due to a public liability requirement for us to be hosted on the grounds at the races, which is prohibitively expensive.

 

Well aware! It is on every year. Was talks a few zedfests ago about a parade lap but it never happened.

We tend to steer clear of Bathurst because of all the activity.
