well guyz today was the first time I opened up full throttle on my zed. Was going to leave the heavy footing till after I had a few things done on her first 100k serv plugs etc. So I've had the car 2 weeks and no boost juice given until today... couldn't resist a black ferrari playing in and out of the traffic like some hot shot well I didnt know the potential of the girl so I wasnt expecting much, pulled up behind him at the lights and the driver saw me in his revision mirror. The lights turn green and his off, so I slowly go after him to my suprise the zed wanted more, again another red light, this time I think not letting him get away... so lights turn green he floors this ferrari up the hill so Ido the same and MAAANN, DUDE W.T.F** the zed just wanted to over take this thing...man what a suprise I had no idea the power in this thing... mind you I used to own a 340 e55 original charger fully worked from crank up, to roller rockers on the top, that used to pull 13.9 1/4mile so have an idea what getting thrown back into the seat feels like..but the zed first time turbo owner, man when the turbos kick in it sendzz you to the back seat dude... the driver of the ferrari just kept on staring at me like he was a deer in front of headlights waiting to be squashed...gotta to know more whats driving this thing only had it 2 weeks with a folder full of receipts, cant wait for sunday tech day in melb
Mate if it is still stock it's capable of pulling better times than 13.9, not to mention a Zed is a far better ride than a Charger in every respect.

i had a similar experince the first time i drove in the wet, i didnt mean to do it but i somehow managed to do a 360 throgh an intersection and not hit anything

Welcome aboard Not sure how many people would remember my little ferrari story... so heres the reminder HAPPY ZED STORY! Cruising home minding my own business on a lovely Sunday afternoon. What happens to pull up next to us at the lights... "BALL R" A red 360 Spider Ferrari with a young driver behind the wheel, by young I mean 25 yrs old. Got talking and pulled the old "whats retail on one of those" lines.... Worked a treat, the guy was suckered in and wanted to push it to the limit. As the light went green... My Trusty Zed took off leaving him well behind in a matter of seconds even into 3rd gear when traction was still difficult to find. Another set of lights approached, to which his response was... " I feel like i've wasted a couple of hundred thousand dollars " Can't forget that day... I was passenger as i'd lost license for speeding and was due to get it back in a matter of days. When your passenger in your own Zed and you see a ferrari, you just wish you had a license. !!! But I had the next best thing... My camera phone. Heres the only photo i've got left as we raced past this young bloke who didn't know what hit him... Glad to hear i'm not the only one here thats had their fun with the Fez Fate...
I don't know what to make of this Etaf, seemingly another 'pull the other one' story but with a twist......you have evidence! I know I shouldn't be surprised that a modded Zed can take on a 360 Modena but it still comes as somewhat of a shock when you see the piccies. Keep safe mate. Oh only a wanker buys a Ferrari for its quarter times, and anyone who is only 6 years older than myself and owns a fazza must be a wanker.
Ferrari vs 300 Chek this... lets be fair and pick the 1991 Ferrari 348 a nice 2 seater sports car... vs a 1991 Nissan 300Zx TT... a nice 2 seater sports car... 300 vs 348 3L V6 vs 3.4L V8 300hp @ 7000rpm vs 300Hp @ 8500rpm 5spd box vs 5spd box 2 seater vs 2 seater 0-100 in 5.8 vs 0-100 in 5.7 0-400m in 14 vs 0-400 in 13.7 *approx stock times* Surely driver performance would decide who won out of these two beasts.. the ferrari 348 isnt light years ahead when u see the stats. I love the 348 and for just over 100 grand id get 1.. but i think we gott ripped off for what u get when compairing wat Nissan could have given ya at same the time... There are a fair few 348s floatin around... one bloke said to me it cos him 5,000 buks for an exhaust for it and there is no doubt 10-12 cars on this forum alone that wouldnt be scared of most pre 2000 ferraris. it just all comes down to ... :zlove: frank

Don't disagree with you. But with that said... I ran a 13.776 without 3rd gear down the straight as well remember. Mix that with the fact the guy can't drive perfectly either and you've got yourself a pretty decent match up i'd say. I'm not arguin it I'm just sayin. it'd be like me racing you down the 1/4 mile and you not getting your best time ever due to a poor gear change or something like that. "A WIN IS A WIN" GO YE Z DOWN THE FEZ!
The difference would be, (drivers being equal) when the first corner came up, you wouldnt see which way the ferrari went
Yeah, from what I heard alot of that $100,000+ price tag with cars like porsche and ferrari goes into the handling ability.
Hmmm I drove a Ferrari 360 (for about 15 minutes) and it was faster than any Zed that I have ever been in. Maybe, just maybe he wasn't trying as hard as you thought that he was.

Whats with all these illegal street drag racing stories/requests recently? Im sure this forum doesnt promote illegal activities. Well from what I can remember this forum had mature members.
Don't underestimate the Zed's power... There was an incident of a Ferrari racing a GTP earlier on in the year in Victoria, up in Warrandyte way. The Ferrari crashed killing the 32 year old male driver and his 25 year old female passenger, the GTP driver came out unscathed. For those who are new members to this forum there have been deaths of drivers pushing the Zed to its limits and we're not just talking about TT's only, NA's have killed too. So by all means have fun in the Zed but know your limits...and of course there's the legal drag strip too. Have Fun...:zlove:
