Schweeet. I only want to display a few gauges and the speedo. Any bad points with doing this?

 

You have very limited choice on what you see, and how you configure the gauges. If that doesn't bother you then there is no problem.

Update: I have worked out a way to have both a time display and real-time warnings, but I need to do a prototype or 3 before I can get a Beta setup.

This prototype needs more money spent for it to happen ($500 - $2000), so things will continue their slow pace.

 

That was interesting, (supercooling your car computer) I wonder how much the aircon from those vents was missed? Was the narrow vent above still functioning?
