A few of you may have seen this on tt.net already but for those that haven't its well worth a look. Mike Kojima in the states is building an all out track zed & its looking like its going to be an absolute weapon, check out part 1 of the build here His plan is 600hp, widebody, functional aero, massive cage/wheels/tyres/brakes, etc A quick teaser of the cage... cheers, tim
If I remember correctly, Kojima was the guy who built the awesome 300ZX project car for Sport Compact Car Magazine. That thing was pretty badass, so I'm keen to see how this one turns out.
Crazy, hope it works out for the guy, personally would have got a GTR and done the same since it's they're a better platform for track work, but hey, it'll be a monster either way!!
at the start of the article it says "Spec-V time attack car is getting built at Technosquare" so it kinda sounds like he's already got that covered too! but yeah as ZEDZY said, the whole point of this project for him was to build a fun rwd track car & he could buy a '95 TT for US$1...
Ah must have missed that, whoops, guy is obviously passionate, his wallet must take one hell of a beating though, hope he doesn't do the maths on how much he's spent since day 1 on everything because if I did I'd probably hang myself.
http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArtic...ew/articleId/13/Project-300ZXTT-Part-One.aspx That cage will weigh a bloody tonne. Not overkill there
I reckon that cage would have cost him approx US 8K. Nice bit of work but how good does it have to be? Would be heavy as well.
