just for curiosity's sake... has anyone ever seen a zed with front tubs and rear end chassis mods for more clearance? Raised strut towers, allows you to slam the car as low as possible and not compromise rebound ect of the coilovers. i see alot of these wild mods on s chassis cars but never on a Zed...
that's because rubbish econoboxes and the like aren't designed to go that low. our cars are low stock, drop it by 2" and it can be considered slammed and barely useable. if you drop a car too low you'll also throw off the suspension geometry of the suspension arms so everything needs to be moved up not just the strut towers. haven't you realised how good a zed is stock and how little work it needs in a lot of areas?
i know they look good and i've seen quite a few that are nice and low... just want to know whether people have done anything to get even more low then possible without hacking up the chassis ect just curiosity
skunk2 makes short body struts. allows you to drop it low as and keep shock travel. if you're thinking about it. but going that low you will need camber adjustable stuff and it will totally throw your geometry as mike mentioned above. low speed cornering and response improves with going that low but high speed grip suffers. talking from the little bit of experience i have
