yes around 5000rpm with streets and rev limiter on slick
and let your tyres down to about 17psi then do your quick burnout 4-5 secs and that will bring them up to about 20psi, Ive down over a hundred passes and this works best for me and my mates:biggrin:

hmm.... can't hop out and let your tyres down on the street (not saying I street race coz I dont, just saying, its not as accurate a measure of how fast an "un-altered" car is)

...but saying that, dare say I'll end up trying this out lol

Well think about it for a second, on the street I only get wheel spin in first and chirp into second, but on a drag strip if I leave the tyres on 40psi (thats what i run in them on the street) I will spin all of first and second and a bit of third because its made for Slicks witch use a different compond than road tyres and they put VHT down to, made for slicks.
So this makes it even on the track:D

Yep I should get back out there. Now has Dog box now, so faster changes and less frictional loss through gear box, and should be lower in the 10 sec bracket. Also car is a bit lighter now, and better aero to for less drag and more down force, Bilstein?s instead of that D2 crap I had last time, and better squat angle geometry in rear end, car is balanced better on corner weigh scales after transferring weight to right rear etc etc.......

    Burnout

sounds like the makings of a quick time, hopefully you can shave a few tenths off, you;re close to getting bumped off the top ten 3000cc FI times in aus. (in the back of the HPI mags)

We need to keep a zed in there!

    Holy Shit John
you were using D2 coilovers!, they are like the hardest coilover I have ever tryed, had them in a week and tookem out and got teins insteed, same with some of my mates, it doesen't help that the roads here are the shittest in Australia, going across a bumpy causeway and my car wanted to jump to the moon and that with the softest settings they had

Yep waste of time and money, we live and learn and many years ago. They are to hard in the valving mainly. I sold some to Fleet and Wizard prematurely and apologised for ever after. Got Wiz into the Bilstein?s with me and very good. On the night it was a cold 11 C and due to the hard shocks we had to let the tyres down to 11psi hot to hook up.

    Thunderdome.

    Mate your car is AWESOME!

    Is that still a VG?

Would you be open to me using some of your clips in the next Zed vid? Also maybe an interview about you and your car, and why you chose to use a Zed for track and strip?

Maybe a discussion to continue via PM
