This little bugger: (part no 28628-11C00)

I need one to pass rego and I cant stand the messy dribbles without one. The valves I have are frozen stuck. I couldn't find anything at supercheap and the staff had no idea what I was talking about.

So instead of messing about with a nissan dealer, has anyone had luck unsticking a check valve? I'm not sure on their construction if its a ball and spring or a soft rubber flap... So I hesitated shoving something sharp down the guts. I can start with hot soapy water in an ultrasonic cleaner though I'm guessing that wont work. Maybe a blast of compressed air to un-stick it?

Failing that, anyone know where I can just find an off the shelf cheap generic one from like repco, bursons or something. They don't have parts search on their websites, so I don't feel like wasting a weekend driving cross country to find a plastic $2 part.

    Cheers.

I haven't pulled mine off to see how it works....anyway you don't need the valve to pass rego itself. Fluid just has to make it from the bottle to the jets, the valve is just an anti delay function. (None of my cars dribble without the valve)

Let your fingers do the initial traveling by ringing up first to see if:
    1) They supply the part
    2) They actually have it in stock. (I've done a few fruitless drives due to out of stock)

Price wise: eBay puts generic check valves around $10 to $14 so I don't think they're a $2 part :p

any small one way valve will work, I got a couple of ebay 4mm tails I think.. and they work fine.

Evo 7/8 has the same/similar valve as part of the intercooler spray system. May be easier to source.

I bought one from Repco a few years back so try there or Bursons. Also I have a feeling they are used in aquariums so a pet shop maybe.
