yeah but one of those mates doesn't own a Zed so i take that as an "outsiders opinion" personally. He's into Skylines (but yet to own one) and has owned a Mazda 929, RX7 and now the Charade So yeah, complete outsider imho
What a Modernized Z32 COULD have looked like I was actually thinking about this thread as I was on the freeway yesterday. Was thinking "what would i do to "modernize a Z32..... if the 350Z had never come out... how COULD things have looked now?" I molded the Z32 in my minds eye Wide Body a must Keep the nice flat bonnet, maybe angle it a little. 350Z headlights are ugly, but.... R35's... maybe something inbetween the 2...... Chuck the engine in the back to secure its supercar status........ the rear....... I like the look of Gonzo's rear hatch... maybe like that but styled a little diferent........ hehe.... what was the image in my minds eye shaping up to be? erm....... LOLZ But while "my" ideas were obviously being influenced by something I'd seen else where... it does bring up a point..... the new generation Zed's COULD have been awsome. Not forgetting the Z truley was Nissans Supercar for its time, and is stiull reguarded with the supercar title by many...... What could/should the 350's and beyond have looked like? I dont think im far off. MOdernising teh popular Z32 shape WOULD have pushed it closer to a supercar shape. It would not have adopted a Hair Dressers car shape, thats for sure
That's because it's sexual! Take the Z31 and pull its face back and stretch it long ways = Lambo! lol All you gotta do is look at the Countach, not a curved line on it! You can see how the 80's styling simply rounded out whilst still keeping the original base shape. 80s styling share more similarities to todays cars than people realize. My favourite lambo though is this ridiculous thing, the Reventon.
AMEN to that lambo brother Gonzo... make me a front bar like that please oh and a wide body kit to match Id buy it
WOW they really ARE simluar i mean just look... they are both white both have wheels.......... how did i not see it before? :zlove: The sadest realisation came to me today though........ After deciding a modern Z32 would/should look like a lambo.... guess what other image i saw in my head? A 350Z with a good track kit on it itsn't far off a Lambo style DAMN IT BUT i still stand by my "i hate the 350Z" because that was the original point... it should look good FROM FACTORY and it just doesn't.
One could argue that about alot of Nissan cars though, the R34 needs a big poofter bodykit to look really nice for example.
new thread time hmm........ new thread me thinks......... (been thinking of posting this before anyway so........) http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?p=724335#post724335
The whole "what the new Z should look like" discussion always ends up the same. The Datsun guys want it to look like a 240Z again and 300ZX guys the 300ZX again! lol Personally I'd rather leave it up to Nissan to have at it, they just need to stretch the 350Z a bit longer and fix up the chubby ass and it would be alot better. Of course it needs to be turbocharged from the factory too.
I love those long bonnets of the 240-280Zx's. They are not as good as the E-type though, nothing is ever going to beat that. And, btw, the z31 is really a 280zx with a different skin and a V6 instead of the straight six.
Yeah that makes sense. "They're exactly the same! Except the engine and the body of course!" OOOoook... They have the same wheel base, that's about it.
