I put petrol in because I had a 4c off coupon.

 

Whet to the shed and started it up , 1st time in a couple of weeks . Was going to remove the wipers and spray then put the right way around but got side tracked . Once again i had good intentions but somehow that turned to shit :rofl: oh well maybe tomorrow night :br:

 

Finished my FMIC install with the custom brackets, and fitted my new front bar with Mitch!

 

I know that ugly head from somewhere... Think he did some work on my car once He's quite useful though.

 

I'm the Z shed, cleaning up these smics I got off Anti, thanks mate.

The brackets that I've resprayed look fantastic, any tips for the
smics? And what size bolts do they take for
mounting?

oh man, I wouldn't have a clue to be honest. I didn't give them a good look. they were 12mm. just take the brackets into mitre 10 or supershit and find any old ones that fit. As for tips for the SMIC's... put them on!

 

I'll just scrub the smics up, I work for Nissan so I'll just run through the bolt bins for bracket to body bolts tommorow.

 

well..
changed the oil
changed the Diff oil
Changed spark plugs
replaced 2 coil packs
wired in 2 new coil pack connectors
CTS and CTS plug new just put in too.
Replaced LED in dash that blew.
removed all hydrolic hoses, cleaned, re-attached.
Removed wheels,
checked brakes ...

then i got fed up and yelled at the car then went inside to disect mr melted coil packs

I drove my Z to Denistone and back. Cruise control up the F3, had a play with a FD RX7 on the way back, doing the tag-team around slow moving lorries...

 

You having fitting issues with a TT front & reo bar?

 

Actually drove mine for the first time in a couple of months. Went all the way to work and back.

I'd forgotten what it was like to drive a sportscar rather than the usual hearse!

i thought about looking for the book i drew the plan for my intercooler pipes in , but i have to leave for work soon and im still on a forum so maybe tomorrow

 

Well not 'today' per say, but I've been stripping the Zed down the past few days whenever I had an hour or two to spare, been kinda fun actually. My first time doing a plenum pull on my own Zed and found out it already has had the water bypass done (had previously believed the plenum had never been removed), also found out the previous owner had done the 1M DET / Knock resistor trick / bypass.

So far:

Plenum off
All Intake pipes off
Nearly all connectors disconnected
All vacuum pipes off
Radiator, Fan & Shroud off
Oil & Water drained (obviously)
Front Bar off
Started cutting out a few AIV related junk lol

Soon to come out / off:

Exhaust dropped, past Dumps
Tail-shaft out
Gearbox & Engine mounts undone
PS Pump & AC Compressor disconnected

Then finally, Engine out & Gearbox pulled out. Should be out next Monday. Can't work on it until then. Stoopid work... lol.

Yeah, front drivers headlight housing is slightly out of alignment, meaning that the TT bar isnt pulling flush on fitment with the drivers guard. All rectified now
Off to refit full HID kit, driving lights, modify new corner lights for japteck SMICS, splash guards, liners, DVD player, Veilside exhaust.

 

Hey Michael, to remove a headlight is it front bar and guard off?
My left headlight housing was shredded by previous previous owner and it wobbles!!
