Pulled both the rear axle, knuckle and hub assemblies off. Urgh.
Drove car home after 2 months in the paint shop...
Photo of the mirrors with indicators.
these are Z shop covers but I have them completely moulded to the mirrors.
Fitted new TPS and TPS connectors. Also, new coolant temperature sensor. Good as new!!!!
bought a real fairlady........ well half of 1 at least
it looks like its a little work.......not much though.......
I have a completely stripped '65 roadster already. This 1 was donated to a car club, where it was used an a mechanical project for the local youths. Mechanically, its been completely stripped and overhauled. Just a matter of getting my shell painted and bolting it on. The rest is relatively easy.... most Z's have more wiring in their stereo setups than the old 'lady's entire loom.
Finally got the bastard engine off the trailer and onto the engine stand. Once its apart ill be getting a torque plate made up and getting it bored out. So if anyone needs a plate, call me.
was going to upgrade the sub box to match the color of the interior but found out that all the chipboard is stuffed....so i got a new sub $50...going from 10" to 12" ( they say bigger is better )and to make a new box that fits the tray a little better:zlove:
have been doing a fair bit of work more photos and videos to come. now in a shed with hoist and lots of area to work.
purge and arming switches. both on different circuits. purge is using the cigarette as it draws a fair bit of power.
more photos to come.
Would love to own one of these :zlove:
[/IMG]finished the new sub and box......now it works a lot better!!!!!
Fixing a crack in the spoiler. Waiting for the resin to go off.
And now about to clean up the oem rear mud flaps in leu of painting... Finally starting to see some good weather. Maybe I can get my shed/carport space back and finish the painting.... Bit of a pita putting the zed outside with no weather seals or windows up while its wet....
got my turbosmart fpr 800. best $125 spent. going to run higher base pressure on my sard 800's for e85. seems like its quality
TT manifold is now shaved down and half sanded. All mounting points gone, except for the coilpack mounts and the holes for its bolts. Deleted all the unnecesary stuff off it. Beginning to look really nice now. Just got to finish hitting it with the flap wheel and ill be good to wet and dry sand, then polish.
Also, i deleted the balance rail
sold my front tyres
and received my new driver's side targa latch trim piece! between two zeds never had one that's uncracked! yayyyyy
New hatch floor and parcel shelf
Modified my fuse box placement in the passenger footwell for more clearance, repainted my front wheel wells and rehashed my alternator loom. Yay progress.
Relocated the PTU. That was just one nightmare after the other...bolts were free spinning in the timing cover, had to extend the coolant sensor wires, car wouldnt start afterwards. Tempermental little things these zeds
I also sold my front tyres! Driven on five times, haha.
Geez man shouldn't be complaining about a task like that with your ambitions
