Not installed yet but decided on and bought new steering wheel, cluster, carbon fibre finished parts and real tan leather to cover the cloth interior. I'm trying to decide whether covering the Recaros with black leather is a sin or not.

Otherwise I might leave the Recaros how they are and since it's a black car I think tan leather could be very stylish.

Cheaper to buy a brand new set already in leather, don't ask me how I know....

I see, well I might just leave them oem or re-cover the centre cushions in plain black fabric so they contrast better with the tan leather, that way I could re-cover the rear seat in the same black fabric.

Yeah when I was looking at it was

    Seats & rails delivered $1600
Retrim $2400 (price was consistent between 3 shops). Probs cheaper if you trim it yourself, but even then I think you'd need about $800 worth of hide.

New recaro seats in leather were about $2700 delivered with the option to pay heaps for new recaro rails or about $350 delivered for a set of new bride rails.

    Easiest decision I've ever made!

It will be interesting, there are so many conflicting opinions on how effective these Turbos are on these engines.

I will have a 23psi boost limit... for a couple of reasons:

    1. The compressor map indicates compressor surge issues with boost above this ( due to the small Exhaust Housings )
    2. Want the engine to have reasonably long-ish life.
    3. Can't be assed buying a bigger MAP Sensor :p

    Well 3 reasons.

    My Regamaster Evos arrived today!!!!!!!!!

Words can't describe my excitement right now....These weight almost nothing (not that I'm after performance).

These were intended for the rear but IF I can get my hands on some 18x10.5s, these bad boys will move to the front.

    F&%k Yeah! :zlove:

Actually 260.6 hp is a bit on the low side for stock turbos, extra boost, a tune and basic mods.

Check out the results of the recent UAS dyno day

    http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=325646

    Stock turbo's got 252.1rwkw (337 rwhp), 228.5 rwkw (306 rwhp), 199.8 rwkw (267 rwhp).

Neither had the 199.8kw or the 228.5kw one.

Marcus just found out that his cars (199.8kw) timing is way out, so it should be up around the 220 mark now :)

I do have to admit that my engine is very tired. Ie 8psi of oil pressure at idle. Hence the rebuild. Being auto probably doesn't help either :)

Always knew it was going to be on the low side Hp wise.

I also noticed that boost creeped off to about 11psi too.

    Today I:

    • Serviced the TT
    • Washed the NA
    • Installed new leather Steering wheel, series 4 shift knob, new handbrake lever, and new gear and handbrake boots to the NA
    • Installed leather seats into the NA
    • Installed my Bride GIAS seats into the TT
    • Installed MOMO steering wheel and Nismo gear knob into the TT
    • Took the NA for a little cruise

    Overall, pretty productive.

Too bad you're a QLDer, so it doesn't count :p
