Yes, can't really believe that i actually did it!
I will definately be back in a Z in the future, just wasn't practical for me to keep it while i was at uni... I was rarely driving it in the end.
Still been checking your build thread every time i see an update

 

Chucked in some aluminium Hard pipes to replace the silicone ones.


Also got hicas out and na diff in. And air con finally working :-D

 

Completely re-wired my entire stereo system, fixed all the interference noises

Also polishing and detailing to get prepared for a family friends wedding

 

Do you mean all aftermarket wiring to speakers etc or replaced power wires to amps and stuff? Did you fix the popping? I get it when I shut my car off.

 

Everything related to the stereo haha

And it still pops a little when I plug my iPod in, but it's a 90% improvement over what it used to be

 

Got the pink slip done on the convertible and then as the soft top was finally dry I put the cover back on. Not the slightest leak even though sitting in pouring rain for three days

 

bought another zed

 

Squeezed the 2+2 in with the slicktop. Almost fitted haha.

 

Go to Repco or super cheap and get some dollies to go under the tyres on the slicktop, swing the bugger sideways at the end of the garage, 2+2 will fit

 

ran my nitrous main feed line so it could be all hidden away. built my billet bottle heater and started the wiring for that.

ripped out all the manual gear and started installing my automatic.

engine is looking a little tired though so may need to come out.

 

Managed to get the engine back in and bolted up after removing it last year. So happy Now to remember where the rest of the parts go lol

 

Put in a new gear knob because the old one was no good for quick shifting ;D

Put in an MBC, adjusted my BOV's, cleaned, waxed and vacuumed. Put on pedal cover things. Installed a boost gauge and switch to turn the backlight on or off.





Need to save some money to get some rims, a body kit and a twin exhaust.

 

Got the rear bar sanded and sitting in primer. No more dimples. Smooooooth ass now.

 

Nice red Z HoRo. If you're upgrading and your stockies are in good nick, I may have to pounce...
Shame they're on backwards though

New rear speakers. My old ones were completely trashed, unimaginably so. Same as the fronts really New ones are nothing special, but it's great to have surround-sound again

 

Hahaha ohhh yeah. I keep forgetting to swap those over. Theyre not in the best condition and Id probably want to keep them anyway. Ill keep you in mind if I want to one day though


With your rears what do you use? Spacers or something?

 

Speakers? Yep, got some 4" speakers with a mounting plate, they go very well.
I actually got all the boot plastics out before realizing I didn't have to. Guides on 2+2 speaker installs are scarce at best.

 

Car now runs 60% cooler!!!

 

Loose the front bar & you will run 80% cooler
