I bought a z32tt with a locked up engine & the owner supplied another engine complete with all gear on it.I pulled the locked up engine down & found a bent rod on the left back cylinder from water in the pot.I put the new engine in complete with turbos on,kicked it in & it ran like on 4 or 5 cylinders & after 1 drive slowly round the yard it got a bad knock & tight spot on start & guess what ?water in the left exhaust. Its gotta be the same problem external but I no bugger all about it .Anybody ever heard of this cause it kills engines quick.
Hope you cleaned out all the intake pipes and intercoolers before start up other wise there could have been water still in them.
Water or fuel? Did you use the same injectors? I bent a rod from one of the O rings leaking fuel into the cylinder.
al the pipes have been off & the car sat for 2 years after losing the first engine.will have a serious look around the manifold tomorrow
water yeah ,it still had water in the cylinder of the first motor after taking the head off.gotta keep looking.
You haven't attached the washer bottle or overflow tank to a vacuum source by any chance? That would suck! No punn intended
aren't there some coolant lines that run to the TB's etc hope you didn't connect one of them to a vac line? etc
