Thanks to Paul and Miksta for a great cruz, I think the old man (Planit Z) loved the run so he could really see what his car could really do. Thanks to Miksta for letting me uses his radio. Had a great day thanks. (Josh, Nissan JT)
Top day guys and thanks to everyone that came  Was surprised at the turnout at Kings Park, good selection of Zeds, Bimmers and Keiths Porshe. Great to see some new faces there as well!. At least we made it to the first meet point eventually, maybe we could turn RIGHT onto Kings Park road *cough cough* and we might all get there together Well well well, what could i say about the next part of the journey, Psycho would be a good word, O'brian road is great, just ask Keith , he sure gave those TT's a run for their money , pity on the way back i was loosing traction so i had to slow down to moderate speeds the whole way, at least i was at the back of the pack and didn't prevent anyone from having fun, might have to get that checked out sometime in the future  Once again thanks to everyone who made it, looking forward to seeing some pics Cheers Mike
yah the cruze was awsome thanks to Paul & Miksta for setting up the event here are just a few pics that i took today..
I guess I can tell ya now I was at a dyno day instead, been wanting to do it since I got the Z. I only found out about it a few days ago and didn't wanna spoil the cruise as I'm sure some would have wanteed to do the same. hopefully the next cruise isn't too far away.
Top cruise, thanks guys It was a great day - great weather, great roads, and nice Cougar girls at the end Paul, how did you get that low shot? It's awesome ... and taken from the driver's seat as well!
Yep that was good fun being the leading car for most of obrien road on the way out was fun but kind of kept the pressure on as i didn't wanna slow it down for everyone else i was kinda scared at the start cos i have bald tyres but the roads were dry enough for me to stay in a straight line
Re: Top cruise, thanks guys haha thanks that shot was pure luck, u should have seen all the ones that didnt turn out. i realy like how the u can see the "Z" center cap
Good Day guys, After a shaky start out of kings park the day got a whole lot better. Next time lets skip the hotdogs in midland boys. You were lucky franz didn't persuade the boys to go on without ya. I'm glad the map turned out to be a good one. Obrien road is pure insanity, and I'm kicking myself that I didn't take me own zed! I'll get some pics up tomorrow, need to wait for fordboy to get home so I can upload the pics to the PC. I have all the footage on my PC now and will start editing tomorrow, unfortunately that quality is not all that great from this camera, but I'll try and make it work! Don't forget about the drag day coming up in november....and I'll proof read the map better next time too. Cheers boys! K-love!
Great Criuise...thanx to to Paul and Miksta the "Cruise Masters" for organising a great day. Obrien road is "fully sick" and its easy to go insane! I really got to push the zed hard...it was a lot of fun! It was cool running between the porsche and the bimmer in full fight. Speaking of full flight we missed a magpie by a wisker and for a moment I thought I was going to end up with GT stripes! Great day ....great to see all the guy's Cheers Tim
did I? I didn't stick around to find out I left disappointed with my puny 260 hp, actually they put me down as 253 being my 2nd run, dunno why.. I think they messed up the first one cutting out the higher revs, I'll scan it and show ya later. I wanna go back now that I fixed some boost leaks cos it sure seems quicker but I guess it can wait for the Z dyno day.
Absolutely a fantastic day Thanks to Paul and Miksta for the great day. Loved the run through those curly road but need bit more training to control the ZED. i am really happy what i did as the first time. HOW THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT -- the V6 TWIN-TURBO:LOL: I didnot join the team back to Perth, wasnt feeling like to go home yet. so went to york for another run and did some photo shoot. see you all next time:thumbsup::zlove:
stuff and things yep, good day! good roads. was a bit pissed at the drizzle on the first o'brien road run but hey you get that. katrine road on the way back home was fun. had keith slowly catching up to me the whole way to 2j road, headlights getting bigger.... crap... need to go faster! i'll let you boys know when we're doing the next track day. be good to get some of you down there
hi guys it was a great event and i thought obrien road was more fun going the way back, perhaps it's because i got my eye in on it better! i remember at king's park somebody told me that they know where i can get the side skirts and possibly rear for my explosion front bar, but i can't remember who told me that... any volunteers? Cheers, Matt. :zlove:
Hey Matt yeah that was me you were talking to. Extreme Machines in willetton are the company that stock the explosion kit. Most people don't have a high regard for this company (myslef included) but they are the only place in perth that I know of that stock the explosion kit for the zed. All I can suggest is get a quote from Col (the owner) for just the kit and then go else where to have it fitted and painted (I would recommend fibrevision in welshpool...bruce knows his stuff). Goodluck mate. Paul
hmm extreme machines say they've never heard of it, was it sommeone else you are thinking of? its hard to find this kit anywhere on the net, let alone in perth... if you know any websites that show it that would be cool, cos first i want to see what they look like before i chase up prices etc :zlove:
Good fun cruise! Hey Paul, I thought you said I'd be doing some new roads? Im still waiting! Putting my serious hat on now - some people need to restrain themselves a bit more on public roads. I saw from more than one driver some dangerous actions (whether they are at fault or not - but they were behind the wheel so I'm not going to say anymore on that) that could have been fatal - yes fatal. Remember the public road is not a race track. There are alot of variables including water on road under trees, gravel on the road, oil on the road, oncoming cars, wildlife and corners tightening more than you think they will to name a few - if you want to go 100% do it in a nice controlled environment like a racetrack. For starters there is less chance of hurting yourself and your pride and joy. Personally I never push more than 70% on the street because of outside influencing factors - you must always expect the unexpected! Incidentally the AFARCC track day is on the 15th of this month. I am not sure how many spaces are left (if any at all). Cost will be about $50 for the day for as much track time as you want. If you're interested email me at franz@franzonline.net and I'll see what I can do to get you in. Heres your chance to show everyone and yourself just how good a driver you really are.
Good call on that franz Me and mickey were at the back for most of the cruise (in the mighty NA..haha) and some of the stuff happening ahead was unbelievable. At least nothing did happen, although I thought the worst when I saw everyone on the side of the road at the berry road T junction. Matt. I can personally confirm that I have held the explosion kit against mine and Lazyzed (robs) car at extreme machines. This was just over 12 months ago. I'd say Col no longer has the kit and probably forgot about ever having it over a hard weekend....which sucks coz its a nice ass kit. Paul
But we cant do super side-o drift-0 oh well, will still be fun. I got my HICAS lock bar express posted to be dissapointed !!! damn it
