WA: 300zx T/Turbo Manual 2 Seater 1991

THE Z is for sale

As above, it is a red 1991 2 seater, twin turbo, factory manual with all options (ie cruise control, climate control, leather, electric seat etc)
Everything on the dash works including the oil pressure etc.

The plates 'THE Z' are sold with the car (white on black)

Had an issue with it before as it was running funny, but after replacing lots of things under the bonnet (turns out it was the CAS) it is now running sweet as.... actually too sweet and everytime i go for a drive it makes me wanna keep it! But no can do or else Dan will definately kill me as some of the $ from the sale will be going for mods to his drift car.

Things that were replaced/checked during this process were;
- PTU series 2 now installed
- New NGK platinum sparkplugs
- Working CAS installed with new CAS plug
- Coilpack connectors replaced and coilpacks tested
- New fuel filter and fuel pump checked
- Fuel pressure regulators replaced and fuel lines checked
- Injectors cleaned and flowed
- Was also put through datascan or whatever it is and came up all ok

Details of the car;

- 150 XXX km
- imported in 2000 i think from memory; i have had it nearly 2 years now, previous owner was a guy that owned it 6mths or so and hardly drove it, and before that it was owned by a pharmacist who got it when it first came to Aust.
- Door trims, glovebox etc retrimmed in red
- Turbo timer (the one that automatically adjusts its time depending on how long/hard the car was driven etc)
- Apexi Pod filter
- Boost controller
- New battery
- Slotted rotors (front and rears)
- 18" Volk rims with dish, running 235's front and 265's rear
- Tint
- Stereo system including Pioneer head unit, amp (pioneer or xplod from memory) and 16" sony xplod sub woofer
- Cleared rear lights (indicator section)
- Clear front indicators

I have pretty much the full service history and all reciepts up until i bought it and then we serviced it ourselves. It has had a plenum pull back when we got the injectors done but one water hose was missed (which of course broke when we were miles from home one night) and that was replaced seperately.
It has had the 100'k service, and was serviced by us every 5000kms using good shit We also have good old Redline shockproof light in the gearbox.

Was pretty much my daily driver when i was in real estate so it never got a hammering but i did take it on a cruise or two and 'cleaned out the carbon build up' once or twice.

The paint work isnt fantastic but with a bit of love it will come up nice.
The spoiler is dying and slowly deteriorating and will need replacing, or would be a good time to go brazilian.
Rear tyres are bald and need replacing.
Front seats need re-trim on bottom section due to leather cracking (seat covers on at the mo)
Air cond works but needs re-gassing
Tail lights n middle section has a few cracks in it

HID lights (complete kit with balasts) included but NOT installed (we did have them in and they were awesome but took them out to put in the RX7 back when we had that, but it turned out they were the wrong ones n wouldnt fit, but we couldnt be bothered to install them back in the z)

Quick sale preferred before I end up changing my mind and getting into a lot of trouble - asking $11k but if you come n wave cash under my nose I am negotiable.

it has always run, up until around the end of last year when the CAS died. i just never drove it as it had a flat spot (early stages of the CAS dying) and had the 180 to play with and just lost interest in the z

when the CAS finally let go we couldnt fix it sooner as we had to move house, but it is all sorted now

plus just picked up a s13 with an rb20 in it as a project so im trying not to fall in love with the z again!
price is very nego as im planning on throwing some coilies in the s13 and hitting the drift track alongside Dan - plus having 5 cars in the driveway is crazy

Very nice car, what you've done with the interior is pretty much exactly what i want to do with mine, minus the trimming to the seats. dont sell it!!! get rid of that spoiler and lower it 2 more inches =D

but seriously it is very tempting to keep it especially having it sitting in the garage
so ive banned myself from driving it unless it is to show it to someone... i can still remember the first time we took the targas off on a nice sunny arvo and went flying down tonkin hwy, tis just one of those feelings that you dont quite get from other cars!

 

saw this Z in the quakka and tried to talk dad into lending me money.... no response lol.
