    Hi all,
I'm just curious to know from members who have fitted these how much loss, as in D/Bs-x/haust note there is with this resonator.
Now I realise that there will be a certain amount of x/haust note loss with the fitment of this resonator,as is with any resonator for that matter, but I'd like to know how much loss. As with most people who have fitted an x/haust system under the legal limit sounds great & they're happy with, you don't want to loose it. I just want to reduce the drone in the cabin as much as possible. I know you may not be able to have it both ways but you can try.

not true. u can have it both way :D ...i do

i personally love the pulse note that these cars make, and i didnt want to loose that. the sound it makes at full throttle is just awsome....

i have seperate pipes etc running from turbo to the rear. no h-pipe no x-pipe etc...

it was just too loud like this so i put some small straight thru mufflers between the cats and rear mufflers...

NO DRONE, excellent sound, excellent note. its pretty much the way i want it....

if you do put the x-pipe/muffler option in just make sure you will loose that note...it will help the drone and on most systems get you under legal limit. i know pex did this, search under his nick there will be a thread about what it got him...

I have PZP dumps, metal-cats, UAS x-pipe resonator to two Magnaflow mufflers all in 2.5" stainless with mandrel bends. At idle it's very quiet, I'd go so far to say quieter than stock when idleing. When I re up to redline, it hold the same note all the way, just louder. I personally love it, sounds like a high performance car that doesn't need to yell "Look at me" if you know what I mean (Example: Civics with buzzing exhausts and Skylines/Silvias milo tin's that go "bub-bub-bub" at idle). I like that mine flows freely without having to be "poser" about it.

I'll post up a video tonight hopefully.

hahaha i cant stand that sound that civics make etccc....loud exhausts on NA zeds somewhat have a bit of this sound aswell lol....

im with u vbevan, i love my exhaust to be a very sporty sound. good way to explain is a nice supercar like lamborghini etc, nice a quite, but when put to the floor its got a very nice note to it....

Do either of you (vbevan + chad) have any sound clips (preferably in mp3 or wav, as youtube flv uploads sound really distorted) ?

    Egg ....

Each to their own... just personal taste I guess.
Personally, I hate the sound our Z's make with a twin and separate system.
These systems are available pretty damn cheap at the moment.

Pretty much the same as Stillen, same manufacturer different brand. Sold under about four different brands, think it's Chinese in origin though the welds are first rate.
    And a sound clip.

Virtually the same as my exhaust, but mine is 3" though sounds the same, mine a lil quieter I have large quality ovals, these are pretty much straight through.
And the best news, about $600AUD delivered if you shop around, outstanding value.
Good x pipe will cancel most of the drone, you can have it both ways, and they make the most power & torque.

Thanks guys for for replys greatly appreciated.

I'm running a dual stainless steel 3" mandrel bend out of high flow cats into dual tip magnaflows. We tried with just a H pipe, that didn't help, then X pipe, that didn't help either, the X pipe is still on at the moment. When I say 'we' I mean the guys at the exhaust shop they did a great job.So now I might try 'Chads' little trick & throw a couple small straight thru mufflers on & see what happens, other than that I'll get the UAS x-pipe resonator & put that on. Mind you I put this system on quite some time ago & thought/hoped the drone might not resonate as much once the system settled & got some exhaust dust in the pipes. But it's reached the point now where the drone is anoying.Anyway, thanks again for your replys.:zlove:

    Egg ....

If they don't get the angles right on the x-pipe it can still drone.
    Good luck. :)
