Personally, i would be very suspicious of an Australian Agent/Distributor who would enter into an agreement with such a Company, particularly one who, quote, "Doesn't sound like someone who is overly trustworthy(particularly when they want all the money "up front")"

a case of bad judgement ??? .. or birds of a feather, perhaps .... lol de lol.

Thought we were discussing car body parts, not dodgy birds.
Who ever said ANY company is trustworthy, they are all out to get as much money for their product as they possibly can.

Where is the binding contract that says there is only one Australian distributor.
Can't we as a buying group organise a cheaper "bulk" price by buying direct?
As long as we don't buy in and onsell for a profit there is no problem.

Was gonna go through UAS but it sounds like too much work/trouble organising and not enough interest to start with. I will leave it to someone else.

Likely I will make a custom similiar to the bonne style

I'd be keen on a rear bumper for a 2+2 if one ever goes ahead again...

Zedhed has one for sale -it'd be easy for you to arrange pickup via e-go or similar

I expected the usual verbal diarrhoea from our resident inebriate, but I thought you had a little more moral fibre than your post suggests.
My point IS NOT who you should deal with, but rather, who you feel will be easier to get in touch with when your item doesn't show up(and you would like your money back).
Your suggested reasoning for "buying direct" answers the questions already asked, as to "why no-one has decided to manufacture locally?". Who would finance a locally produced item, only to find that everyone decided to shop overseas for the same product?:eek:

I wouldn't stress Lloyd, having seen the hassles that JP went through on the previous order I am quite confident that this is NEVER going to happen as a private import.

LOL ...This must rate as a contender for the funniest post of the year .. !!!!

Another fine example of Chili and his self abuse, constantly referring to his own best features, namely, his "verbal diarrhoea/resident inebriate"

Great self insight, indeed, from our own pot bellied pub dweller; he of the pulsating, bright red proboscis, a product of far too many decades of over imbibing in his free and cheap slops.

Gotta love jovial banter, indeedy ... LOL.

I dont understand myself what the fuss is all about and dont even know why I am replying to this - but -

USPS is trackable - why would something go wrong?

buying direct is a catch 22 statement your making - if they made them local we wouldnt have to go somewhere else and considering theres no market as you put it, we would have probably sold three just here in this post alone!

If someone can get a gb going again it'd be good, but doubt we'd get the numbers. Hence why unfortunately, i'm going to have to look into getting one from Z1 or CZP.

Not taking your medication any more, apparently?
I see no "red proboscis"(nor have I ever been a "pub dweller" at any time during my 69 years of life)but, apart from those obvious errors of fact, a valuable literary effort(it's also good to note that the Moderators of this fine forum are still enjoying their holidays).
Judging by the responses to your enlightening expose, you have now upset the children, as well.:(:br:
