I want to build a daily-driver/track car, but I won't molest this beautiful zed for that purpose.

This car was in exceptional condition when I bought it as a fresh import in August 2005 and I have spared no expense to keep it that way. All maintenance has been performed and everything mechanical and electrical works as it should. After ensuring all the maintenance was done I completed some sensible modifications to help the motor breathe and enhance its already brilliant performance and driveability.

I have had many comments from mechanics about how tight the car feels and how smooth the motor is. I am often told that this is the best condition zed they have ever seen.

There is nothing left to do this car except drive it.

I have maintained the original design by fitting an exhaust with quad tips (although bigger) and by fitting 17" Volk racing wheels which are faithful to the zed styling and period.

    Car Location: Brisbane, Queensland

    Asking Price: $17,000

    Base Stats:
Model: 1989 Twin Turbo 300ZX - complied in Aus 2005.
Duco: Original Pearl White in excellent condition
    Seats: 2+2
Odometer: 124,xxx (Proof of genuine mileage)
Gearbox: Auto ? external oil cooler
    Targa top

    Special Features / Factory Options:

Personalised plates '89JET' to QLD buyer if wanted
Titanium key (read no more!! ? where do I sign?)
    '300zx' 1/4 glass tinted shades
    Illuminated factory 300zx rear panel
Leather seats: Driver and passenger seats both electric

    Maintenance History:
Regular servicing with Mobil1 100% synthetic oil since purchased in August 2005.
100K service by Gavin Wood Auto Tech including replaced timing belt, seals, water pump, thermostat and idler bearings and so on. The timing belt cover had a Nissan sticker indicating that the 100K service had been done in Japan at 77717 km (no doubt when it was 10 years old) so I probably could have left it for a few years.
Plenum Pull/Coolant Bypass and associated work by Zed4Life (see Zedcare.com) including:
    ? Plenum pull and push,
? Soldering all ten injector / CTS / AAC / FIDC and Air Regulator wiring plugs
? Replace and refit exhaust and intake valve covers using gasket sealant/gaskets etc,

    ? Replace all vacuum hoses,
? IACV (idle control unit) unit dismantled and reconditioned,
    ? Throttle bodies/linkages checked/adjusted,
? IACV / Air Regulator bench tested and reinstalled on plenum,
? R&R Injector rail and injectors including new O'rings
    ? Fuel hoses replaced
? Plenum degreased and cleaned and spray painted Engine Enamel
? Clean and paint intake valve covers

    Other information:
I have receipts for all work performed by Gavin Wood, Zed4Life, AMEC and Fulcrum.
    Any mechanical inspection welcome.
Zed4Life (Mark Field) knows this car better than most and can confirm its genuine condition.

If you are genuinely in the market for a top condition zed give me (Bob) a call on 0438 880 051.

These photos were taken this morning. but I'm afraid my photography skills are not the best. They do not do the car justice.

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

A great example of a Zed

I was having a good look over this Zed at the last hinterland cruiZe, mainly looking at the "new" condition everything seems to be in. Very tidy indeed when close up.
It would be a great clean, reliable, low maintenance vehicle for somebody who wants to join the Zed world.

Good luck with the sale bud, will be sad to see it leave.

    Yes it would.

Zeds in this "nothing more to do" condition don't come around too often. If it's the car you're happy with and you are able, snap it up while you can.

There are lots of lemons out there that people pick up and spend a fortune on just to get them to a reliable state, and it's not what a newcomer wants for his first Zed.

    Good luck. :zlove:

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Believe me this

has not been an easy decision. Sadly I don't have room for the zed and a daily-driver/track car.

Worst case scenario is that no-one wants it and I put the track car idea on hold. Doesn't sound like a bad outcome actually :D .

lol nothing to do with your photography skills dude..i just think most z's look much better in person (unlike the last z i looked at...he made it look like your car (perfect condition) in the photos then i went and looked at it and it looked like it had been attacked by an angry rhinoceros)
