What's the resistor for?

And what colour is everyone changing the lighting too? i bought blue already for mine. But I'm not 100% sure how that will look.

 

got mine on friday fleet, cheers the gb mate

 

the instructions show you where you need to install the resistor to recalibrate the speedometer. otherwise the speedo won't show the correct speed!

when I do mine, I am thinking red backlighting.

Anyone installed theirs yet? need to make up my mind about color and type of globes for the back light. Looks very dull with the stock globes....

Hey buddy I know it is a little late but My old man just picked up his zed 2 days ago and he is keen to get a set of the white faced gauges you had for sale recently, including the 300kmh speedo. I was just wondering can you still get them or is it to late. Let me know ASAP

just put mine in, they're like OEM they're so well made.. you should get a US version made up to make some moola.

I hope you'll be getting some black face ones too I hope. If not, than perhaps you could direct me to a US source for the same thing (shipping thing).
Reason being is that I didn't want to stray too far from the oem appearance and thought something like this (flourescent on black) type of config might compliment a black interior;

 

I have black face speedos available if you want.

 

k, now that I've tried them at night is it normal that the boost and oil pressure gauges show as white where as the rest are black? I like the contrast but seems the stock globes are no good as it displays them as pretty much white on white.

 

ah I see the problem, they're both front and back lit.. would probably see similar with different globes, gotta block out the light from one of the sources.
