Even thought the sky filled with clouds(and eventualy we got some raindrops), 20+ Zeds (and a couple of Zed owners without their Zeds) Turned-up for a great lunchtime and afternoon BBQ get-together. A HUGE vote of appreciation and thanks must go to Michael (Mijake) and mum Michelle, along with several other members of his family, for the huge effort they put in, to provide a great spread of food and refreshments, and for making this outing an enormous success. It was great to catch up with some old faces (Oni, Caz1, HenryH, Mr& MrsZee, Waz, Ian & Janet(zx299), KEZA & Jenny, Skeeter, Aaron, Jeff & Jess, etc.), and it was equaly good to meet so many "new" faces (Juice, Andymac, Rohanshephard, Chris & Cathy, Mike & Zena, and more). Apologies to anyone that I have missed (it's not intentional:LOL Lynn & I enjoyed ourselves immensely, and it seems that everyone else did also. We just have to do this sort of thing more often. THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY!
Agreed, enjoyable day despite the weather. Good one Michael/Michelle The day would not have been complete without the "toy soldiers" (Park Rangers) rolling up and trying to slap Caz with a parking ticket. Thankfully she managed to "con" her way out of it (might have been the batting eyelashes Caz, but then again it could have been the sight of an angry zed mob descending on the scene :LOL
Photo dump 1 Heres song lower res pics of the day...if anyone wants highres copies pm me and I'll email them too you.
i had a great time, also got inspired to do some work on the Z today:LOL: opened up the front indicators on my aus spec and removed the orange lens and replaced the original globe with an orange one to make the indicator look white when not on. awesome result:thumbsup: now all i have to do is do the rear lights according to the tech article and by some clear sides as well. thanks to michael and michelle ( i loved the prawns on the guacamolie) who organised a great day:thumbsup: james
Thanks to everyone for the friendly welcome, it was my first event and I really enjoyed meeting everyone even though i couldn't stay long (still ended up being late). I've never seen so many ZEDS in one place, once again thanks for the warm welcome, hope to be at the next event. Greg P.S. Great photos!
A big thanks to Michael and family  What a great effort with all the food and BBQ, we really appreciate it. Also a big thanks to everyone else who contributed. I kind of feel guilty for arriving late Despite the bad weather that arrived in the afternoon we still managed to have a great day. Even got a chance to play some Frisbee
BBQ Many thanks to everyone involved particularly Michael and Michelle the day was fabulous. It was great to meet everyone. Regards Tim & Ellie
Great afternoon, Big thankyou to Michael and his family  Was great to see everyone, good to catch up with some regulars and meet some new Zedders as well. You're right Chili, we should do that more often.......great venue! Except for the "officials" :LOL:
Just adding my thanks to Michael & his family for their wonderful hospitality on Saturday. The food was fantastic, company was great, the Zeds were unreal and the only let down was the weather. Unfortunately Jess and i had to leave quite early but we still enjoyed ourselves. It was great to meet some new faces and catch up with some freinds. Cant wait for the Berrima cruise!
Thanks all for a great day. Summary of the day Thank you all for coming. Since i bought my zed and joined the club a bit more then 2 years ago now, I have always felt welcome and have met a great bunch of people. I have never met as many people obsessed with their cars :LOL: well turns out i became one of them. The bbq was a way for my Mum(Michelle) and I to say thank you to all of you and a great way to meet some fellow new members. Even though it was cold and wet, we all managed to have a good chat and I even got to warm up by playing frisbee with John. cheers mate! I was getting worried near midday when there was alot of bbq meat left over but with Janet's expertise in using Maggie as a "poor little girl" sales pitch, all the food was gone! Great stuff Janet. As Lloyd said, I cant believe the rangers were that bored they had to try issue a ticket to Caroline for her car parked in a 'NO SKIPPING' zone as Lloyd put it :LOLr as Waz put it 'NO SUCKING' Lastly I beg of someone to get into MrZee's house and wind all his clocks back 3 hours! A good thing was apparently the countryside got heaps of rain that saturday morning so we are greatful for that. Great photos Andy! Looking forward to the drag day and WSID and Berrima Cruise. See you all then. Cheers Michael and Michelle
