I have 2 Zeds 1 being N/A auto and other being TT auto, was wondering if anyone knew a rough estimate in $$$ to get engine and gearbox switch between the 2 (Also I'm under the impression that i should keep the dif from the n/a as its a lower ratio?). While I get the switch done would it be worth to chuck in a high stall converter and get dual pop charger intake then a tune after it all?? and yeh how much $$ would it cost for all that and/or just swap.

    Thre are other considerations -
    intercoolers,
    all piping,
    transmission,
    clutch,
    tailshaft,
    ECU
    fuel pump

I believe that if you want to get someone to do the work, they may charge around the $80 per hour mark (and thats probably cheap). I would expect a full 2 days for a competent workshop, but that doesn't include all the pipework.

And, don't forget, once you are finished, the TT will still be registered as a TT and the NA will stil be registered as a NA, regardless of where the turbo's are.

oh yeh..nearly forgot about the extra things such as intercooler and stuff..would be easier to get that done at same time. although as for registration can simply switch plates around just gotta change car colour on paperwork and all fixed

I do apologize for my previous comment then and will refrain from suggesting things like that in the future

What's the hoops required to get a tt engine swap signed off legally in WA?

Surely if its all oem parts being swapped and everything is in order, no leaks or chassis damage, write off's etc. Shouldnt it be quiet easy to have it approved, legally?

If it's just a TT <-> TT swap then it will just be a Engine number change. I believe they "just" visually inspect the car and confirm the new Engine number.

A mate of mine has a small camera on the end of a stick (like an endoscope I guess) for just this reason.
