I recieved this email from the organiser of Superlap regarding TV time. "Just thought I would let you know that there is going to be a short segment on Superlap shown on The car show This Weekend. The show starts at 1pm ( 2pm in VIC & SA ) this Sunday, be sure to keep an eye out for some footage of your car tearing up the track. There is also going to be a full feature on an upcoming Ignition DVD." Bring it on............:zlove:
yeah ok but really it would have been great if Superlap got its own 30 minute showing somewhere. after all, drift meets get their own show.
It all comes back to Dollars Fleet, DA is $1500.00 per round entry ontop of the $15,000.00+ year for a DA position/licence. It has the money to buy TV time. If Superlap was structured like that it would loose the essence of what made it such an awesome day. I agree it would be great to see Superlap get their own TV show, I would love to watch the entire day over again
Dont worry Pete, I blinked and missed it too . It wasnt much longer than an ad. I saw the Zeds on there but it really didnt show off the event like it could of. That was one seriously BORING car show lol. Now I know why I havent heard of it before. "yawn"
There's a dvd on the whole event that will come with the next issue of Fast Four mag as an Ignition DVD Pete. The car show segment was only 3 minutes long, a long advert style, but it had some mad incar footage, aswell as some of JP's Slot car, shifters and mine (only a fleeting glimpse of me chasing a white liner). Bring on Ignition DVD.
the dvd should be good. but the segment they showed on the car show was totally shit. it just flicked and showed you a quick glimps on the slot car. then i think it flicked and showed your car ports. but that was it dvd should be good though, looks like it was an awsome day with heaps of really kool cars
Disappointed in The Car Show! To be honest I never usually watch the car show, because frankly... I could do something more interesting for the half hour it's on... like... clean the shower... I think WE should be the hosts Caz as well as Glenn, he's a good bloke, wrapped in a shit show.
I saw it while in the gym... Saw the UAS Z a few times. As others have said, didn't look like much of a segment, more like an advert.
