Hey ppls, Just got my new zed today! The steering wheel is pretty rough though...I was thinking bout stealing my bf steering wheel from his manual zed and chucking it on my auto, mine how ever has cruise control, Is the cruise control panel interchangeable with a manual? Is this at all possible or should i just invest in a nicer looking second hand steering wheel Is there any difference at all between a na and tt steering wheel?? - Joey :zlove:
they are interchangable provided the manual wheel also has the Cruise buttons... If not then consider relocating the cruise buttons, as that is what you would have to do with an aftermarket.
I'm on the same boat, too. i want an aftermarket steering wheel, but cruise control wont let me coz i love it to much to take it out, there was one guy who mounted it right behind the steering wheel, i saw a picture ages ago but i cant find it again. otherwise I'd do it... I'm pretty sure there's no difference between NA to TT, its just a matter of if you have cruise control or air bags ? but i maybe wrong
oh yeah, i forgot to mention airbags, might hurt if you try to rip them out prematurly. it cant be that hard to reroute buttons somewhere else. on that note it is possible to get the wheel reco'd somewhere, i was looking in to that option, same plasticy leather look alike, i want my stock steering wheel looking like new.

Imho, The buttons don't look that aesthetically pleasing and seem rather impractical, just get a normal bosskit and rewire the cruise control somewhere else.
The 'Z' can't be upside down. The logo is drawn in such a way that it's appearance is unchanged weather it be flipped or inverted. That seat cover logo is a poor example of the real thing.
wrong actually, when designing the stickers i thought the same thing, but didnt look correct. the zed has a longer bottom then top. measure it!. I'm pretty sure its 20% longer same picture flipped horizontally then vertically Looks better ay?

Yes they are interchangeable. You will need to swap all the parts off the Cruise equiped wheel with those from the non-cruise wheel but the rim and frame is all you really need, and they are the same.
