    I'll be watching this

Interested. I have king springs on the front and stock on the back, dropping an inch would be nice though. I wonder if you can just buy the adjusters to fit on the current springs?

remember (and i tell everyone this, i'm getting repetetive getting repetetive): It is not just a matter of buying shorter springs when lowering your car! You WILL go through the tyres a LOT faster than with a good alignment. THe standard adjusting bolts/washer things will NOT allow much adjustment to camber.
So if you value tyres (or don't care and feel that shelling out at least 500 bucks a year on really cheap-wad tyres as a cost effective solution...mike please don't comment you'll ruin my point lol) go get some adjustable camber arms and rear upper arms, and toe in rods as you have an NA...at the least! To do it all and get alignment specs back to near stock you'll also need traction rods and front tension rods...

John from UAS did a good write up a while back, have a search.

i got a set of tein at home , for the back , it was my old race set up , no shocks tho .
to fit them mia it will take a bit of money , that type of set up is not really for you , IMO.....

i think , you should go to auto barn , and get some king springs, i think there not all that pricey , just springs get icer to put them on ,, there not adjustable ,or anything but still good. tell them how low you want to go ,

all so you can call 9329 5133 and ask for a price , they want 260$ just springs to lower my Audi so i can see it being much more then that ......

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

    Some more info...
To lower your car (putting aside the camber issues), you really should get a set of new struts with a shortened piston inside to accommodate the lower spring, other wise if you hit bumps hard it may bottom your strut out aswell, which can damage them.
I've seen a few cases of this happening now.

Ok Thanks for that Alex, ill go to auto barn and have a look,

I was just going to go to TTF (the Tyre Factory) in dandy to install them.. i got my rims from there, and im paying them off monthly.... they said they can install and add to the bill! lol

But hey if its simple and iCER or a mate can install, ill do that!! :)

autobarn do not have them on the shelf, you need to order them and also shop around, there are many places cheaper than there

Kings will not lower the car much, you have saggy springs now which have probably sagged an inch or so,if you put kings on with a .8 inch drop, your car will be higher than it is now lol ,
This catches all new lowering people out which is why most go for coilovers where you can set the ride height to what you want, just something to keep in mind mia !!
You will also need adjustable arms front and back or your tyres will not last long due to the change in camber, theres more than meets the eye when lowering a car

With icers track record dont let him do this, putting springs on the struts can be deadly if you get it wrong, they are under high compression !!!!!!!!!

    Too hard for QLD roads

I distincly remember chasing AZA and Fleet on a spirited drive and the understeer was terrible, small imperfections in the road bounce the front end and force understeering. They were great on the track thought, could have been stiffer even.

well yeah we can organize a time , during the day , , suspension city $110 front $110 back .. then $$$ to put them in ...... that's 35m lower ( check if that's to much ) ( Ive never used them myself ) ...
or 390$ to do the job.

what the guys are say is true , you will eat up your tires faster. and your camber will be out ...

Seeing as kings will make you a set of springs at any spring rate/ride height you want, this is a false statement.

Their off the shelf springs by memory for Z's are only 280lbs which is weak as shit. I got 350lbs up front and 400lbs up the back! :p Now THAT is too hard for a street car, combined with koni yellows turned up to firmest it's like my tyres are made of concrete. I wouldn't have it any other way either, I don't like braking for corners! :)

are you aware that king springs will custom make a set of springs to your specifications. you can choose how much drop, and what stiffness..
i was quoted 225 for a custom set of springs with rates of 6kg front and 5kg rears!!

they are really helpfull aswell! dont mess around with dodgy ebay springs!

i though king springs cost alot more then that... i though they where like 150 each.... now i know how cheap it is... im not gonna bother with those ebay ones..

king springs are around 250 a set, then add front camber arms around 250,rear camber arms around 150 and you probably wont be able to install them so add that cost in as well, not so cheap anymore aazn ;)
