I just received my aftermarket TPS, ordered when i thought my sticking throttle was due to a faulty TPS. Now that turned out to be wrong, and i have removed the rag that was left in my throttlebody by the engine installer (the cause of the sticking throttle). So now i am wondering whether i should keep the TPS incase mine goes faulty later. Does it happen often? Is there much demand for these things?
Cost you $46?? Suggest you keep it, and keep an eye on the Wanted section. You might be able to help someone out that is in a pinch.
Good idea, although checking back i realised i had paid a bit extra for express postage, so actually $49. And then for some reason the checkout screen had $1.50 VAT but i just wanted it so i didnt care.... Either way i will keep it and also keep an eye out on the Wanted section. If mine breaks before someone wants it then thats great... Just wondered if it is something that should be swapped as "preventative maintenance"
Your probably better off doing that, and if you ever see someone in desperate need of a tps you can just give them your old one to see them through.
