Hi everone. I have 91 auto 300zx fairlady 2 seater & i notice a shudder that feels like its comming from the rear of the car. the funny thing is it only happes at 40km/h goes away then returnes at around 80. i have thought it can be a: center bearing, tailshadft or the auto tranmission problem but im no mechinic and dont really have any clue wat it could be.:confused i'm praying its not a big problem and easily fix so please help with any infomation or test that may help determine the problem.. Much appreciation guys.
Wheel bearing, alignment, etc Take it to get a full suspension check, Peddars or somewhere similar just to get it diagnosed cheaply and go from there to at least count out something simple.
ok thanks....So Sorry i also forgot to mention the tyers are pretty much brand new and as soon as it started i had a wheel alignment and the guy said they were fine..
If you just had tyres done they probably just did the balance and alignment and sent you on your way, a suspension shop will do all that and inspect everything else with their machines etc Sounds dumb but check the lug nuts, stranger things have happend.
Get it on a hoist or up on jack stands and check the centre bearing. That's a classic symptom. You may have to remove the exhaust and heat shield to get to it.
