Hi guys, does the original s2 ptu kit come with some sort of mounting bracket? I haven't installed mine yet as I'm waiting on weather seals for the connectors on the other gb, and I'd like to get all the materials ready before i proceed with the install
Yeah just interested also if anyone knows where to get the mounting bracket for the S2 PTU? I posted this up in the wanted section but it's not looking like anyone has any lying around. Cheers Marcus
It's probably because nobody has actually got around to trying to install the thing as the weathershields are missing and there is no point before they arrive. What's wrong with a piece of wire ? A string might burn, and cable ties might melt, so a steel wire (coathanger) might be the go. I'm waiting for somebody to report back that they actually work, which I understand has not been tested yet. I'm also waiting for a confirmed wiring scheme that works. Sorry, I'm a bit lazy. Really should test it and do the work myself I suppose.
they work perfectly.... tested on customers car... all good.... just had to use silicone instead of the weatherseals for now.... the suppliers have given me the run around again but i've been told that they will be at my place by friday.

This is a bit of a piss off as at least 1 got lost in the mail. After this is finalized I wont be running any more GB's. This little effort has cost me $200 so far. I had to go and buy two more today.
All the remaining PTU's that people have queeried have now been posted off. (I just shoved em in the mail box). I have lost enough money on this GB. No more claims. Enough is enough. I dont even have one for me any more.
well that just sucks. i appreciate all the hard work you've done on this one! i can't believe that you didn't even end up with one! if everyone from the GB puts a little bit of cash in, we could cover your loss and make sure you have a PTU! who's with me!!??

I posted it about over 2 weeks ago Matt, sent to Minivans address as per your PM. That brings the lost count to 3 in 40 They manged to lose Dino's as well. Cant remember who's the third one was. This is crap I have never had this much of a problem with the mail before. The addresses where cut and pasted directly from the email to the label program so they where all addressed properly.
REGISTERED MAIL I found alot of the stuff i ship went missing until i started paying $2.50 to send it registered,amazing how it always seem to get there when u do that Saves people saying they didnt get it and also its never lost because it is trackable
yeah - if its that cheap to do it registered mail then that should be the norm... makes everything so much easier for everybody
