Series 2 PTU Group Buy

Hmm

That would be me, and my harness to the six pin plug with the red wires has two black wires with silver dots shown in the picture.

I'm still not sure if I have connected the new ptu correctly.
One off the black wires is earth(green arrow) and the other is live with the ignition on(red arrow).

 

Update,

I went to the supplier today.

The PTU's have been shipped from the USA at last. We should see them toward the middle of next week. I will post out asap when they arrive

 

Wiring Sorted Out

I had a better look at mine and it has the same silver dots too. Did a continuity test to find which ones go where and this is what I found.

 

Good news. PTU's have arrived !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pick them up tomorrow. Will do a bit of work over the weekend and pack and address them.

Not long now guys.

 

PTU Connectors

Guys just want to let everyone know that the PTU connectors, pins, etc have arrived however not the correct amount of weather seals...

I'm happy to send the PTU connectors out without the weather seals and refund $2.60 to everyone or we can wait till they come in stock (around 2 weeks I am told).

Could people please PM me what they would like to do...

I am just waiting for ZX2NV, Minivan's and Claire's addresses and theirs can go as well.

This GB is finished.

I will run PTU GB reloaded in a few days

Oil???

Recieved my PTU thanks very much.

There is a small satchel in with the PTU, appears to be filled with oil? Mine has leaked a little onto the PTU. I assume this is not a problem.

Just wandering what this stuff for?

Got mine too. Thought it was the connectors though as it is very small.

 

I have no idea what the sack of silicon is for.

Just wipe the spilt bit off. it will be fine.
