-------------------------------------------------- Ready to go! Lol! Here is the proper thread for the second Nistune group buy. EOI thread is here with more details etc: Clicky I want to do this one quick unlike the last one, so if you want in let me know ASAP. List of people so far 1) Jaz - Type 2 with Software 2) pexzed - Type 2 with Software 3) ZeDHeD - Type 2 board only 4) Hyper101 - Type 2 with software 5) 90TTZ - Type 2 with Software 6) beaver Type 2 with software Should have proper pricing tonight/tomorrow morning, after that I'll send out banking details. In the mean time I will need your ECU part number which is the 23710xxxxxx number which will be on the sticker on your ECU (as shown below, not a Z32 ecu but you get the idea). For more info look here and look at the equipment page. If you have trouble PM me. If you just want the licence then just put your name down and don't worry about the ecu part number. Any hassles or questions PM me or post here.
Just got pricing from Matt from Nistune: No postage for the licenses, postage for the boards from me to you will be $8 ea going off last time. Hopefully we will have the boards by the QLD Christmas party, so those who are coming to that can pick up off me then. I'll PM out banking details when I get home tonight. If anyone else wants in I need to know very soon.
Im in Thats a keen price, im in for both, can we pay half now half when order is ready to post/pick up? If not its no biggie. Im doing a Auto - Manual conversion and have a TT Manual ECU to take the place of my auto one.
With the last GB, I had the boads about 3 days after I made payment to Matt. So it's not really worth the hassle to do 50% now, 50% later. Either way I have to pay the whole amount up front.
If you want to tune yourself you need to buy the software also - or find somewhere that tunes with nistune
what do you need the ECU number for ? I dont know which ECU im going to use yet, I might have to source one.
I'll send a PM out tonight with payment details. It's so the base tune tune can be put onto the daughter board. You will get the EXACT tune on your daughter board that is already on the ECU that you want to use. As long as it's a 8bit OBD1 ECU there is no hassles, you can used a 16bit if you want but it costs more and is harder to install the board. I wouldn't do that if I was you. Nope, software works with every Nistune supported ECU out there. If you get the normal license it will only work on 3 different ECU's. If you want to use it on more than that you have to get the fancy tuner version, or uninstall and reinstall the software. No big hassle really.
The ECU that I would have used for my TT Manual has a Central20 ROM glued into it so Ill need to get another one.
Oh! I thought it read whatever chip was installed in the ecu, like mine for instance which has already been bridged and chipped to suite, but as yet is not fine tuned, I should have read a bit more about it. I'll think about this, and let you know before the 8th if I'm still in. Nope, software works with every Nistune supported ECU out there. Not unless you pay extra for it! You buy the daughterboard & install it yourself (or pay to have it installed by a pro!) This has a pre-installed tune to match your stock ECU!........ so as to not change anything on your car when it's initially installed! You then either take it to a registered Nistune rep (who already has the software & tuner's licence) & pay them to dyno tune your car & adjust the settings via the Nistune daughterboard! OR you pay an extra fee in this GB on top of the cost of the board ($165 gst inc I believe) & this gets you the software (& the licence to legally use it!) so you can hook your laptop up at home & fiddle til your hearts content! - you will also need the cable to connect between your lap top & the ConZult port in your car! Hope this helps!
The software can read whatever BIN is currently in the ECU, but to do realtime tuning you will need a romulator or a nistune daughterboard. If you could make up your mind a little earlier it would be appreciated There is a heap of info on the Nistune site and also the Nistune forum. There is no such thing as stage 2. It is Type 2, which means it is a daughter board to suit R32, Z32 and some other early Nissan's. If you want the software so you can tune it then you will have to buy the license. If you are getting it tuned elsewhere then you can just buy the daughterboard and your nistune dealer/tuner will have the software to tune it. Edit: Yep, what Russ said
Is this compatible? I have checked out Nistunes webpage, Im not sure this ECU is compatible, its from a 91 2 seater TT Manual, I bought it to go along with my auto to manual conversion
