has anyone tried a group buy from greenline.jp for the 640cc's? work out cheaper? (i mean 650cc in the topic) Also anyone know why the 540cc, 650cc, 800cc on greenline.jp ( http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/b...Nissan&carcode=Z32B&intake=FI&category=engine ) are all the same price? Why dont we just get the 800cc for the same price? Or that overboard?
I got a quote from Greenline for 120 injectors in one drop. The price was $2 each less and would definitely have attracted GST. As it is ordering them 6 at a time will work out cheaper. Would you beleive the bastards wouldnt even give me a discount on my 6 even though they have sold a bloody heap of them cause of the collar thing. The 800's would work, but the aim should be to get the duty cycle to 90% at absolutely full load. To max out the 800's you would have to be making about 1000hp. The injectors are not operated on a continuosly variable opening time by the ECU. They are probably opened in a set number of steps. Say 128 for example. If you use say 50% of the available injector duty cycle you reduce the resolution to 64 steps from no load to full load. Which isnt good. It can create idle problems as it is not able to control the idle fuel in smaller incrememts. This leads to stumbling idle problems in some cases. The 650's are a good compromise as they will be big enough for all but the most hugely overdone rebuilds and are unlikely to be too small for the majority of the up grades with GT28RS's most of us will likely use. IMHO 555's are too small. THZX is very near 100% duty cycle on 555's with his GT28R upgrade at 20+ PSI of boost. Hope that explains why 650's are good size for most of us. Oh, also most of those other injectors are for 95+ fuel rails
greenline.jp almost are in stock they told me their is a waiting list. So pay now (its about 660-670$ AUD depending on exchange rate on when you order) for 6 x 650cc injectors delivered. They will be in stop about 23rd of june they said. So yeah. Pay now and get em then.
Was at the machine shop Friday afternoon. The parts where coming off the CNC as I was standing there. I should have all the parts in my hand Monday.

The outside finish is a bit rougher but still ok. All the oring surfaces look as good as the SARD one. I have just washed them and will be kitting them up tonight. Hopefully post tomorow.
