morning fellow zedders, i would say good morning, but unfortunately there isn't much good bout it:angry:

my parents woke me up really early this morning to inform me that my plates have been stolen:angry::angry::thumbsdown::angry::angry:

REG61Z (NSW rego - white on Red background)

what type of low scum live in this world!!! don't they have anything better to do!:angry: now i had make a report (for which i had to go through a whole enterage of questions putting me on the spot) and then was adviced to call the rta and arrange for that!:angry: all this just because some incompotent lil F#%*er couldn't please his woman last night and decided to show my 300 what a man he is by stealing the plates!:angry::angry:

if his such a man, why doesn't he just come up to me and tell me that his going to take my plates off and watch what happens to the mofo:angry::angry::angry: man such a crap start to the day...i know it could be worse, but the truth is, it shouldn't happen, and it did:angry::angry::angry:

please guyz and galz, if any of the sydney siderz c this plates on anything other then my baby, can u please report it 2 the coppers, (or if its parked somewhere, contact em please - 0415484224)...

sorry about juz a big post up so early in the morning, hope u all have a great day...

    That sucks man

Had that happen to me too. Was not impressed.

Hate to be the bearer of even more bad news, but because your plates have been reported stolen (this is assuming you put buy the same plates to put back on the zed), they will have a red flag next to them on the police database - so whenever a cop types your number plate into the system, it will appear as stolen, and they will pull you over. Its a bitch.

Hope they find the old plates for your sake.

I had personalised plates stolen many years ago.......

only trouble was the car was still attached at the time[/COLOR=red] I never saw the car or the plates again

I was told the plates could NOT be reissued because there was two missing plates still in circulation.

They will probably get used to ripp off petrol in the next day or so.

Ask at some local petrol stations. They probably have seen it.

i know how you feel.. kind of

i know it sucks that there is people out there like that in the world...i had to learn the hardway too.
Example 1. Wake up to go to work at 7am, see a bloke sitting in my car had my stereo and tv sitting in the drivers seat ready to cut the wires and take it. Chased him and couldn't find him.

Example 2. got ripped off by 'abdul from top jap autos' who sold me a stuffed up engine and only gave me $1,800 back for.

Cant trust anyone these days mate. Good luck on the safe return of your plates

 grrr i wish the worst upon someone who steals...

hey when you get the plates back, it would be a good decision to get some non standard screw heads....get some screws that need a different key head to screw on and off...you can get screws that are one way screws which cant be taken off unless used the proper tool...

its just an extra security measure i guess, and they dont cost much at all...;)

if you dont intend on taking your plates off

then use a rivet gun, then they have to take the whole bumper with them

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    Simple fix for plates...

Mine are pop-rivetted on. Use the longest rivets that will go through the holes in the plates, and put a couple of washers behind the bar so the rivets can't be pulled back through the plastic. The only way they can come off then is if the rivets are drilled-out. Looks neater than using a nut/bolt arrangement, too!

    Hate petty theft

    pointless and criminal.

I had my wiper arms stolen and had to go for a drive down to bunbury (100km+ return trip) to get replacements in a hurry. Rainy day and I thank the rain gods for holding off long enough for me to get them back on.

I will be rivetting my plates to the bracket in order for them not to get stolen when I get my personal plates :)

What a time we live in...

    Cheers

    Re Stolen Plates

In Herald Sun Today they said 40,000 plates stolen in Victoria over last 5 years. This year there has been 8% rise in thefts.I would hate to think what the number is in other states.

yeah shes back in the garage now...

and i managed to argue my way through the rta to get the same plates issued for me, so at least its some comfort...but yeah its shocking how 40000 plates were stolen in juz 5 yrs in vic, imagine how many would have been stolen in nsw! stupid lil pricks who dun work for their money, thats all it is:angry: i was just happy that they didn't do anything else to my baby i suppose

so on a serious note guys, rivot or at least use lock nuts (yeah i've been told that these are available) to secure ur special number plates to our babies...

    happy zedding fellas:thumbsup:
