As most if not all of you know I wrote off my blue zed but none the less im not out of the zed game! Picked up my new one today, gun metal grey 2+2 J-spec manual. Theres a few problems before getting a roady, too low, needs a new bushing in the lower control arm, hids need to be swapped out and its leaking oil. Enough of the problems, more about the goodies Front and rear strut braces (3piece ones) 2k rear tails 2.5" catback 1 piece tail shaft Bose speaker boxes all round and maybe more, havnt had a whole lot of time to go right through it. Oh and this: Enough talk and more pics, needs a good wash, but will get the roady done before this The future plans; TwinZ rear bar Put my lensos on Retrim interior Recars Old dash with gauges Old white dials Install my old sound system (or half of it) And fix up the little bits and pieces. Then maybe drop a TT in the next few years.. Robbo
Nice one Robbo! This one is a much better platform to start with IMHO... None of this FailSide stuff to try and get rid of Nice find with a TK wing that's for sure!
So it begins Thanks guys, yeah it sure is Cam! Now i havnt even had this 12 hours and im already making changes. or well fixing things. The drivers door trim wasnt fitting properly so i fixed that last night. the plenum's also off, and thanks to alex hopefully solved the issue of oil in the plenum! New cam cover gaskets are in, and trying to figure out how to do the under plenum water bypass before putting it back on. Robbo
ill just go re-mortgage my house shall i ? ....... in all seriousness, the gunmetal car looks the goods, great starting point and good to see you "back in the saddle" after a less than fun experience with the blue beast.
thanks for the complements on my old car also so keen that it is in a build threat and will enjoy watching my old car (first car) develop
Getting ready for a roady So in order to officially make this car mine through Vic roads i need to get a road worthy.. Now we had one done before buying the car, and there was a few problems which needed to be fixed. These where: Too low H.I.D's need to be removed in both high and low Oil leak Lower control arm bush worn? No the too low part is fixed, installed my front coilovers and rear stock suspension as it had king lowered springs. H.I.D's have been removed and been replaced by halogen in both, will re install the low's one day with 4300k globes The oil leak i hope has been fixed by installing the new gaskets and replacing the PCV? valves and then we come to the bush. I really dont think its worn, rather it had some oil drip onto it. Oh and i also ended up putting my polished plenum on. And then today the speedo just decided it did not want to work, so im either up for a new speed sensor or work out why its not working, hopefully its a fuse, a loose plug or a wire has come unstuck And ill just so nice to walk outside and see this minus the huge ride height :
Thats how I feel about mine whenever I look at it. Its the best feeling seeing a nice Zed in your driveway. Nice work btw. Keep it up.:zlove:
(Y) Still coming round Sunday Scott? And I found the problem with the speedo, hit it hard and it fixes itself.. aha Going to be putting my old cluster in earlier than i thought
