Has anyone written a procedure for removal/replacement of rear hatch. Cant find one in tech section. Thanks Martin
not a difficult job really martin. just got to get the the hatch bolts, undo them and lift it away. there is some wiring running inot the hatch that will need to be unclipped as well. you should really have a helper to lift the hatch away from the car as its a large and awkward shape.
Gas shocks will require unbolting under the head liner you will find 2 nuts each side securing hinges best advice when you lift top edge you will need to have botton edge unlatched it will want to slide right off the back of the car so postion a friend at back of car to prevent this as said not that complicated some wiring (that runs down to rear glass heating) and washer feed to sort out good luck
