Rear end skittish on bumpy roads

    Hey guys,

Have noticed when driving down the main highway at 80km/h when going over the small crests and dips in the road the rear end pulls left and right and it feels like the rear wheels have a mind of their own, yet at 60km/h I can go over big bumps and train tracks and it doesn't pull either way. I am assuming this is a problem with the Hicas.

Is this a common problem? Is it easily fixed or is it just better for me to do a hicas delete?

    Cheers

no it is just the speed that hicas works at 60-80km if it is annoying, get a hicas bar

I had similar problem but could only feel it at 100kmph over bumps.

Turns out my rear shocks where buggered plus the hicas arms had play in them.

Woops Meant to edit not delete, So it may be a problem it may not, I will get it looked at professionally just in case and if any parts need replacing I may just get a lockout bar.

    Cheers

    Adz_79 I do it in a Zed

My black zed used to do this. Replaced the rear shocks and problem fixed

Agree with what Madcow said. Check your linkages.
Another diagnostic is at 80kph short (light) bursts of acceleration and deceleration should cause the car to pull to the side a little if there is horizontal movement inthe rear wheel.
Also check for inside wear on the tyres.
