The problem with buying wheels from japan is shipping cost and i would say you'd be looking at between $400-$600 for shipping cost alone and not to mention the wheels wont came with the tyres fitted either, so you will have to also buy tyres when you do get them here in australia. I was contemplating the idea about 4 months ago but at $1000+ its too rich for me unless i won the lottery or something. I was going to try and ship in a set of advan avs5 smz style wheels from the uk through ebay but the seller wants $1000 for just wheels and when i figure in all the other costs i just cant justify it. Its just too damn expensive.
As a melb based member Adam you should be trying to use Importmonster & their container shipping for wheels, I just looked then & a set of wheels with/without tyres shipped via container is $220 (plus other fees of course). This is then pickup from Bayswater. Those optional BBS wheels linked earlier come to $950.45 delivered to Bayswater all up (that's including GST, etc). By comparison Croobers cheapest shipping option to me is US$691! That's airfreight but I'll happily wait 3 months to save almost $800!
Another option is using a local jdm wrecker for a fee theyl pack it up in there container. Ive used this way a few times from wheels to exhausts.
Thanks for the suggestion, i know jesse streeter offers sea fright to cut down costs but its the total sum of buying wheels and shipping them into australia and then having to buy tyres and paying a tyre shop to balance and fit them, its just not financially practical for me personally and i reckon it would cost roughly at least $1500+ give or take to buy these bbs wheels for anyone here in australia. Ive already spent $9500 on just parts alone trying to fix my z from its minor accident in novemeber and im still going. Ive already blown my budget and so the bank, i mean the missus wont let me spend that kind of money now period. Im happy with my oem tt usdm wheels anyways so i dont have a reason to buy another set of wheels anyways.
Oh completely understand the balance of buying parts with a young family haha! Your current wheels look mega for your build regardless. More just pointing out a more affordable option in the future. Streeter is fantastic for shipping parts but you'll likely still have local shipping once the container is unloaded. I love that with importmonster I just pop over & collect (& save a couple hundred on local post!) I've used Aaron / Importmonsters container freight for a couple exhausts, sideskirts & coilovers so far & saved heaps on postage which as you know is big with a family budget! Cheers!
How rare are these? my car came from japan with one and this is the second one I have seen would only swap it for a nismo old logo. But it is very nice good score.
didnt know I wanted the auto folding or that it existed now I want it. Cheers for the parts number, does anyone else think its funny that a lot of z32 part numbers end in p00.

Scrolling through my manual and came across this tyre gauge, so went out to see if i had 1! Never took any notice of it. Id guess any z32 that came with a tyre inflater had them ?
