With my build engine underway its going to be capable of 350rwkw plus and I am a little worried about keeping on the straight and narrow its a handful with 276 rwkw. So I am thinking of buying and fitting the Racelogic traction control system with launch control and flat shift modules. And dont worry you can program the system to slip a certain percent to allow for slight oversteer but very controlled etc.

Anyone is Oz using this setup or know of anyone who has one. If not I guess a Guinea Pig I am once more.

    Cheers

    Pretty sure Zisluv had that

but then swapped it in favour of the Motec setup.

He did swap it for the Motec engine management, but he has commented on how he prefers the Racelogic over the Motec traction control.

I know the Racelogic is on my to-do list.

It's very high on my list too. Probably about the 5th thing or so haha.

It's definitely worth it and after doing some research on it it looks the par as it won't damage the engine or the cats and will help huge amounts in the wet as well.

I'm gonna buy one in around 6 months or so. Theres a good install guide floating around somewhere, in the tech section I think

About 750 GBP for the full kit traction control plus launch control plus flat shift control and slip control is done through a dash knob.

    Traction Control

My zed already came with the Racelogic Traction Control unit when I purchased it. I rarly use the launch control feature as I don't drive my zed on a track and is useless for everyday street use.

I mainly use the unit when driving in wet weather. Tyres seem to grip a lot better and traction through roundabouts is great. Also is great on highway during wet weather.

The software can be programmed to a lot of things however I have not looked too far into this. There are loads of settings which I haven't been game enough to mess with.

Would definitely recommend for track use, however makes little difference for everyday town driving.

    I also

would be interested in one of these.
    Just hesitant at the pricing!
    Perhaps a GB?

Minivan and myself were on the cards for this system ages ago.

I've been in contact with Racelogic about their traction control systems and discounts can be had for multiple items... The only considerable drop in price is in the 10+ range however small discounts can be had for 5+ buys.

PZP is in the mix to become an authorized reseller/installer of racelogic traction control systems and installation requires the use of an oscilloscope...

The systems have options such as
    • Stg I: Adjustable Traction Control System
    • Stg II: Adjustable Traction Control System + Launch Control
    • Stg III: Adjustable Traction Control System + Launch Control + Digital Adjuster (In dash controller - see pic below)

If there is enough interest I'm happy to sort out exact pricing for you all...

I would be interested a little bit down the track Tom. It will help when the project engine goes in a couple of years from now ;) :zlove:

Maybe for the Perth boys you can do the install too.

    Cheers

How much effort is required to install these? Engine out? Or it something you can just plug in like an ECU somewhere. How many parts and where do they go? And how long they usually take to install?

    Check out the Racelogic Website

There is a PDF manual to download.
The unit mounts between the ABS wheel sensors & the existing ECU.
Fitting time supposedly approx 4 hrs.
There is a Frequently Asked Questions section also.
    Google - Racelogic traction control.

    I want one!

Let's do a GB on it. I'm concerned with my traction in winter with bigger turbo's. I didn't know there was a distributor in Qld... Tuneagent used to be the distributor but I don't think that they have it anymore. Let's see what prices PZP can get for a GB, and confirm that he can beat the Qld dude, and then run with it? ^^ How about it zx2nv?

I have to say that racelogic in the UK are the ones to go for, have a look around this place and see what we think to them here.

EOI - pricing and details inside

If we could get numbers of 10+, then PZP indicated to me an approximate pricing that we'd be looking at $1300+GST+Shipping, however since PZP is in Perth, I'm guessing Perth guys can pickup from a central point without shipping.

That price is based on the 6cyl traction control system + launch control + digital adjuster.

Here is a pic of the digital adjuster:

Is there enough interest at that pricing?
Would you prefer without the digital adjuster for a discount on the above price?
Without the digital adjuster, then the control unit looks like this:

This from their site, indicates quality i think...
    (bold editing added by myself)

Would there be enough interest in this?
