Does anyone apart from me think it's a good idea to configure the forum in a way that will allow threads with the latest posts to be moved to the top of the page? And does anyone know if it's an easy change with the current database being used?I'm curious to know how other members feel about adopting this configuration?I've seen other forums, that have implemented such a configuration and personally I find it has more useful benefits. Take the recent dial posts as an example where there are several new threads all about pretty much the same thing. This is a common occurrence and it's easy to see why. Most people feel that if they post a question in a thread which is to far down the page no one will see it and therefore no one will reply. Also when there's a lot of forum action it doesn't take long for a new post to make its way to the next page.Anyway, this is just a suggestion and I hope it doesn't open up a can of worms. I also realize that some individuals may need to put a lot of time and effort into such a change but on the other hand it could be a simple change.
That is true but...> If someone posts a question and at the time no-one on the forum knows the answer, the question will be slowly pushed down the page into non-existence. The poor guy who needed a tough important question answered will never get his answer
True but... he could also post a reply to his own post for example.. "Hey what's the matter with you guys, why won't anyone anwer my question:|?" and it will get shifted to the top again.Bedside, the people on this forum are to nice to let posts like that go unanswered

Stop wasting us moderator's ultra valuable time with questions like this.... of course this feature is implemented! There's even a gay UBB style view for the main forum like the for sale section, not that anyone uses it (other than DUB or chickenbum, I think ).That said, please no 'bumping' of threads to get them to appear at the top of the page of those who view posts in such a manner.Ben
