    Re: Mini-ITX computer

Cool, I can easily build up a mini PC (owning a computer shop), but if someone already hase one, all the better. Actually you can get some good USB 2.0 analogue capture devices now too, so even a notebook with USB 2.0 would be OK.

I am sure we can work something out between us for the next cruiZe to deliver some awesome footage.

I've got the USB 2.0 port on the laptop

but just need a USB 2.0 compatible camera to hook up to it. We definitely need to do this kind of shoot again. I'll rig up a microphone shield for the next one too.

Re: I've got the USB 2.0 port on the laptop

My suggestion for what it's worth, I can supply for the day the camera (composite connection via RCA plug) runs off 12 volts, v handy for your cig lighter. Colour too of course.

Also has a good mount that could be adapted to fix onto your tow point or anywhere else you like.

Supply for the day 1 x fusion MPEG2 USB2.0 analog capture box. This makes MPEG1 and MPEG2 (your choice) on the fly, so you can have near DVD quality footage. There is no Mic on the camera so no problem for wind noise.

Just see me next time if you are interested.

This way there is no cost for you, and we have the hardware available most of the time.

    Red, Black, Yellow

    It doesn't matter what colour.

What you really need to make the Zed go fast is some of that fairy dust from Mark's wand.

    Flogging a dead horse I know :p

A belated thank you to Brenton

for organising last Sunday's cruiZe. As you all know by now Karen and I were left stranded at Yatala with an apparent failed alternator. Turned out to be just a loose connector thanks to the backyard mechanic who re-installed the alt back in December (Yours truly!).

So to make up for our disappointment we drove the cruiZe route today albeit in Karen's MX5 (she was mumbling something about not trusting the Z to go more than 40kms without drama - can you believe it?);) It actually got so hot today that we had to put the top up and use the AC full blast.

Fabulous roads - particularly liked the Clear Mtn and Mt Nebo stretches. Can't believe I've lived here all this time (20 years) and never driven those roads before. Loved the Village of Dayboro too but we were a bit early for a cold one at the pub. Lunch at Mt Glorious was excellent but there was no view due to smoke from bushfires.
