    Very well Said Neill.

Sorry to hear about your sons illness. It must be extremely difficult having someone you love go through such hardship. Wish you and your son well. This extents to you and your nephew Lloyd...

to clear up a couple of things, andys funding for the v12TT was coming from selling his zed.

and he DID have a buyer, who even laid down a deposit but then pulled out (then i went in for the kill) the reason he did not renew is because this person had a deposit on the car and everything, then pulled out at the last minute.

also, if people want to donate to anything they do it at their own will. im chosing to donate to this because its something i really feel for, and this forum is like another home for me, and i would love to help out andy.

peoples money is as welcome to ANY donation, none should be seen as greater.... or else wouldnt everyone just donate to the charity with the highest mortality rate? its like you losing a loved one to leukaemia and chosing to donate to that, because you feel so passionate about losing someone due to lack of advances, and someone saying wouldnt your money be better off donated to lung cancer since far more people die due to that?

its up to you, noone can make up your mind but you.

    Just made a donation Chili

You can't spend your life counting pennies - you use your money to do things that make you happy and make others happy too. I know that if I'd bought a DVD with the money I donated, I'd like it, but doing this means much more. In a few weeks, I probably won't remember where or when I got the DVD and who knows how long until I watch it again - but I'll always remember that I played a small part in helping out someone I care about, even though we've never met.

This outpouring of rediculously soppy sentiment :p is mainly aimed at anyone even thinking about posting a negative thread. If you've donated already, I didn't need to tell you this - you already got it. :zlove:

    Long live the AUS300ZX forum!

    Awesome

I think its great that so many people from all around australia can come together because of one passion, Z's. And i think the reason you are all donatings is coz you would hate to find yourself is Andys situation.

Andy i dont know you from a bar of soap, but if you loved your Z as much as i love mine, i am more then happy to help out.

My donation is on its way.

    Happy to help

Hey Lloyd, I've been off the forum for a while (fighting a Section 88B instrument - lawyers and all) so I have only just caught up on this news.

The appeal is a great idea - my $100 is winging its way (do electrons wing?)

I'm probably back off to the UK in a few days. One of my mates is dying of motor neurone disease. From healthy, vibrant and active to a life support machine in just over five months. A decision to turn it off is imminent. We should all enjoy what we have while we can, and help the other guy out whenever we can, because you never know when it will be all taken away from you.

    Sorry - I'm on a downer.....

    Howdy all,
I just found your forum and was surprised to see all the great feed back on different topics. I was impressed with this post to help out a fellow Z owner. Someone posted they were unsure about donating because of others that didn't get this opportunity. I don't know what that has to do with donating now for a cause that was started by a great guy at this point in time. I lost my Z (Zed) a few years ago and no one did this for me but I'm more than eager to donate now. Maybe you should set up a temp site with a "PayPal" button or an official address I can send a Cashiers Check to.
I'll dig up and post pics of my before and after on my '94 Z. I bought it in 2000 and my fiancée totaled it in 2003...she barley got a scratch (life is so unfair sometimes) did I type that out loud?..no really I love her...more than my Z's. It was silver with black leather NA (I drive an 18 wheeler for a living and a TT would get me in to much trouble). It had a modest front and rear ground effect and the pre '94 TT spoiler, stock on everything else. I did have it fully insured and since I got it for a great deal, I ended up getting my purchase price even after 3 years of driving it. Of course I had spent allot on insuring it for those 3 years...sometimes it's not worth the full coverage.
Back in Dec. I finally got a new-to-me Z! It's a '96 (whoot). Thats what year I was hoping to end up with, it was a great deal as well. It's plain though. All stock with cloth seats and a Small dent by the fuel filler. But it's paid in full and I don't have to carry full coverage. Even with a perfect driving record I would equal what I payed for this car in 2.5 years. Maybe after I get some serious money into it will I get full coverage.

    Hi Barry,
Lynn and I are terribly sorry to hear of your friends imminent passing(nothing can prepare one for something like this, and I sincerely hope it is over quickly and painlessly for all concerned).:(
That you would think of helping Andy at a time like this, speaks volumes about the kind of person you are, and I thank you deeply on his behalf(and mine).:zlove:

Hope everything gets sorted, and you and yours can return to some degree of normality as soon as possible.

    Kindest Regards
    Lloyd
