Looks terrific. You're right about that half-and-half bar though, definitely lose that. Did you weld up your fenders?
Does look great. No way I would have the drive to attempt wrapping a zed. I would get pissed off and it would look shite
Thanks for the comments guys. Simmo, I buffed out any deep scratches down to 1200 wet n dry then a quick buff with cut/polish compound. Don't worry too much the tint film covers a lot and makes it all look like new. Anti, all I did was Sikaflex a small ally panel on the inside of the guard, dry for 12 hrs minimum, bogged, primed sanded. Same for the holes on the rear hatch from spoiler and rear side reflectors. Just finished one side miror, took 3 attempts to figure out the best technique but pretty pleased with the result.
Not sure on the legalities of no front guard indicators in WA , pretty sure up in the nanny state, you have to have them. On a personal thought though, i think the nismo clear indicators would look nice with that wrap. And bloody well done on the job.
Next stage, feedback please. I have never been a fan on the dip in the nose below the head lights/ nose panel of the 300ZX. I think it ruins the look of the front end, there is an interruption where there could be a nice smooth curve. So I've decided to have a go at doing something about it. (yet more work that I don't really need, wish I could just leave things alone sometimes.) Any here is some shots of the progress so far, Pretty rough ATM light cover is just taped on. The centre panel came out well though, wheeled up the panel from 1.2mm ally, used a mates English wheel, pretty pleased with my first attempt. All opinions welcome please.
looks good, except the passenger headlight...... needs the tap removed, at the moment it looks kind off like when people do "eyelids" which im also not a fan of....
Did you pull that old motor apart to find out why it had no compression on number 6 yet ?? Would be interesting !'
Engine No 3 Honestly I can't be bothered, I've done so many hours on this car that that I'm over it. Better comp test that new engine though so I can give your gauge back. Engine parts anyone, everything is good except No 6 cylinder, has had new bearings and rings so not sure what went wrong.
Smooth nose mods. Finished product, taking out the dip in the nose. What do you think? A before shot.
DR No yet mate, just passing time in various airports on my way to Dominican Republic. Back in 3 weeks.
Think I saw you last night on the Great Eastern around 10.15pm. If not, was very similar but looked smart
Nice looking 2k rear tail lights would set off the rear end so nice. But still looks good,,, nice work pmac or should i say great work by your lil princess coz i reckon she would have done all the dirty work for you ;-p
Looks great, I reckon a chance of wheels to something black with lots of dish is needed to complete it properly. Buggered if I know where you find the patience for wrapping but if definitely pays off.
