UAS have been working on another big zed restoration and big engine with the lot. New engine we just built includes UAS GT28RS turbo kit, forged pistons and rods, Tomei cams, getting my race car's GT3 Cup front brakes, as I am up grading, Bilstein coil over suspension, twin core twin pass radiator with heat exchanger, big FMIC, Power FC computer and more. Getting full restoration with black paint and black leather interior. This will be one nice zed when finished. Thanks Zeb for hosting pics.
Hey John... Looks very promising indeed!!! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. Question, is this going to be a street registered Zed when done? and what exterior look are you going for? ... shit lookout Fleet, you'll have some street competition now!
Customers Car Not mine althogh I would like it. It will be a road car, no need for leather for track car although it will probably do some track days too and will be a front runner at that with the gear and set up. Series I PTU, good pic up there and well if it works no need to change as not an unlimitee budget, although a big one. It did get a new wiring loom that it did need.
noob question nice looking z you get there. just a small question, with the twin pod set up it doesn't look like it has a afm or does it have two hiding some place if you don't have a amf how does the ecu know how much air is going in? is this all done with in the tune or something.
Yep The man gets a prize. Dejetro Power FC uses Map sensor rather than finicky AFM's, which also take up precious space. Also being big hp engine would need two AFM or go MAP sensor, as we do and did with this one. Anyone notice it?s sister car, Rob260?s zed on stands in the back ground? Plenum was sand blasted and cleaned and painted with wrinkle finish paint and I was sceptical but I think it turned out well.
Gold Love it Geoff, always has an angle on things. I thought someone would notice this as it was so obvious. Cardboard protection comes off when work in that area is finished.
You don't need brand, just order wrinkle factor. Ask them to match to: BennyC (light Wrinkle) Kzed (Heavy Wrinkle) BlackBaz (Extra Heavy Wrinkle)
mmm nice PROject things like this always give me a car boner Keep up the good work and make sure you post as much as possible for my veiwing pleasure!!!
when i put my engine back in after the rebuild, i painted most things in wrinkle paint. i used vht wrinkle paint and i bought it from autobarn but repco also sell it. remember to have the surface nice and warm before spraying and then use a heat gun to help with the curing process.
