... Joe, you are something else ... top stuff .....!!!! .. as usual, all class ..... almost as good as my K-Mart lunch box ... lol....
Suits perfectly Joe! Well done mate. :zlove: ...what is it made of btw? My only concern would be If it's steel or something conductive, you'd just have to be careful the positive terminal doesn't make contact with it, as that will short out your battery.
yes you are right Benny,it is made of alum and need to be very careful the positive terminal doesn't make contact with it,i also have installed a bettery cut out switch to cut power of the bettery when car is not in use.
So much detail gone into this zed looks awesome good work, i meet you on a cruze long time ago that terry organized you have done a lot more since then, :zlove:
well i havent ever seen braided battery cables before! Im sure I would short that thing out if i ever touched the battery!
You are brave Joe putting all that grounded metal so close to the positive post. How about a coat of clear lacquer to insulate it a bit Looks good though
Make a washer out of some Perspex or polycarbonate to insulate the positive terminal while not detracting from the impressive looks :zlove:
as this picture shows that i have put a red and green plastic washer in between the terminals and the bettery cover and they are sitting higher than the cover. Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/img]
Looks good dude, but if there's still a lead-acid battery under all that you'll need some kind of ventilation. Hydrogen gas could accumulate in there otherwise.
Was looking forward to seeing your car last Sunday Joe, if i did stop i think i would have found myself in quite some bad whether as it was torential rain going up Mt. Ousley Would have only gotten worse if i went up later on. Speak to you soon Joe
