I am in the process of trying to identify a reputable workshop that can complete a full respray, installing aftermarket bumpers etc and replacing all rubber seals. I purchased all of the required parts a couple years ago and am now ready to have someone install and repaint. I am hoping to restore the car's panels and paint to its former glory with the paint having deteriorated with age. I am after a quality finish as opposed to a cheap and average job and am hoping a few members here can speak to their experience as to which places have a good reputation for quality workmanship. Most recommendations I can find online are several years old so am hoping to get some more recent advice. Any suggestions would be great. Am wanting to avoid spending thousands only to yield disappointing results.
Here's the thing with resprays. The more attention to detail in the preparation the better the end result. Also, if anything can be removed from the vehicle body, for example head & tail lights, number plates, sill trim & rubber seals, etc yourself, you will save money in labour charges & obtain a better end result.
