Nothin like a thrash at OP GP on a lazy weekday. The track was clean and fast and only one other to share the curcuit with.:)
Interesting enough the other was pro driver Stephen Borness with team boss Steve Brook in their F301 alfa and a 1984 cosworth single seater (with downforce technology).
These cars absolutely fly around in about the 1:06 range and sound awesome, where the zed can manage about the 1:23'ish.
Anyway I hung around until 2.00 pm as it was getting rather warm and I had done about 50 laps.
Can't beat the rush of boost on the track!!

Sounds fun Wayne, glad alls good with your engine and you're back out there.

I remember clearly the first time you took your Black NA out on the track at OP :) :) and the first time you experienced 'boost' in Shifters front seat.. lol...

Are you coming to the Nationals?

These types of track days are common enough, you can get a run at Oran Park most weeks and
then a couple of times per month at Eastern Creek. To practice at these tracks you'll need
a CAMS licence, L2S at least, but to get your licence you first need to join an affiliated club,
such as SAU or SSCC. An alternative is Wakefield Park near Goulburn. There you can buy
a WP licence for $90 per year and this will allow you to use the track at the 'speed of the street'
practice days, it's a top little track just a couple of hours south. Unique Autosports in Castle Hill
conduct track days a couple of times a year and are great for first timers as are Aaron McGill's
organised track/instructive days. Most important thing is to have fun, respect your car
and others on the track and to follow any instructions.
Jason I'll CU at WP on AD.:D

No official timing Pete, hand timed by Stephen Brook and said I did a 1:23.8pass,
but thats 3 secs quicker than my PB of 1:26.88, so I don't think I can claim it.:D
