I think they look better recessed they remind me less of trailer lights Being small contributes to the trailer light look for me, maybe if they were larger like R33. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/10-2...m14QQhashZitem260301665543QQitemZ260301665543
obviously it was a kit car guys come on lol i said it had a "VG20ET" (nissan motor) in it lol im not a millionare .... last time i was looking at prices on the original GTO was something stupid like 95mill .... mine was based on the old school datsun base with a SABER kit over top .... here it is http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr317/MRttZ/S5001036.jpg
nice looking replica, if a little plasticy (prob just the photo, or the paint job) but i quote you're original post you lied to us man. You said you owned a Ferrari and you didn't next time do BOTH the following 1) Drop the F word coz you never owned a ferrari or even close 2) throw in the word "replica" i feel used. PS: Given the price of 240's and 260's has risen in recent years, that must have been worth a bit should have kept it dude
haha yeah it was a one piece fiberglass/carbon fiber kit with spaceframe and i did have a guy spray white paint on it at the shopps once along with umpteen stolen badges lol .. witch arent cheap .... sorry about my original post guys i was positive i wrote kit car after it but guess my brain was doing more then my two finger typing lol :bash:
Oh! I love that! Many around the place? Come up for sale much? Next project maybe Need's a V8 or V12 though
saaaall good looks mean in black if i wasn't anti-replica's id be tempted maybe ill just get a black 260Z
I don't mind the look of the round tail lights, and I think the car looks good with them. BUT it changes the appearance of the car, it takes some of it's identity away. It suddenly does not look like a 300zx, it looks like something out of a parts bin. I had them on the convertible for 6 months. It really confused people who had no way of telling what car it is. I had people come and ask after having done a few laps of the car. One person still thought it was a Ferrari after he and I had been standing next to the car for 10 minutes talking about Ferraris.
yeah believe it or not i got this kits on the chasis for 3k lol ... some clowns out there .... i ended up seloling it for 12k after putting some interior and a 1200 buck engine with motec lol .. it all up cost me about 5500 lol i know there is one at merrylands autos in syd but its the cheap shit kit and it has belive it or not a dog of a 12a rotor in it lol ...and i believe that one is based on the vw..(not worth too much when finished) and there was one same as mine in runcorn brisbane selling on ebay for bout 11k
WOW thats actually tempting price range how come given a good 240/260 will get you back $15 at least doesn't make sence wouldn't mind one with that kit, but I'd throw Z badges on it in place of the Ferrari badges as its a Zed hmm....maybe a custom badge.... a Yellow Sheild with a black Z in the middle and the JAP flag across the top......hmmmmm that could work
wouldnt be a real one, a kit car if anything, only 33 250gto's were made, as far as ive heard they were used track only pretty much, and enzo himself had to approve the purchase, and unless you have a few mil handy, be hard pressed getting your hands on one!
lol we all know i made a stuff up nems no need to keep pointing it out hahah ... again i thought i typed kit in front of it but i didnt lol SORRY !! haha
every single zed i have seen with ferrari lights has looked cheap and nasty, the lights are very plasticy, and dont fit in well, if the lights were done a lil different might look better?
Cheap and plasticy? what are they supposed to look like? Polished steel? All tailights are "plasticy" for a good reason too i'd assume wouldnt you?... lol I agree they are an aquired taste, Each to their own. But that was a pretty stupid comment to make
lol.... ah ha hahahahaha im sorry, but they fit perfectly. well mine did. where did you see them not fit well?
ok looks like a cheap low grade plastic, which will fade and scratch/break very easially i do realise the stock rear lights are plastic, but they are done very well! the red circular part of the ferrari lights which most zeds have reminds me of the brake lights on old trucks
i dont mean in a sense of lining up etc etc, i mean fit in with the scheme of the car, 300zx's lines are very smooth from top to bottom, the ferrari lights are NOT smooth at all exibit a: cheap made chinese lights exibit b: rear ferrari lights exibit c: a nicer copy which flows with the 300zx look
