    Baroo TIMMAY!

I have oil leaking into my cooling system somehow and we can't track down where it is getting in. I've just installed new turbos a few months back which hopefully is not the cause.

There are no visible oil leaks, (even when pressure tested), headgasket is fine. Coolant isn't milky just oily.

Any ideas where I can/should look next?

How do you know the head gaskets are fine? Not too many places for oil to get into coolant.

sorry to say mate, if theres oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil your headgasket is fried!!!...

    oilly residue in rad

is it a AUTO or Manual

I just had my Auto cooler leak some auto oil into my radiator.

was not a lot at first just enough to leave a oilly residue.

didnt show up on a standard pressure test because the pressures that the trans run under are alot higher than the cooling system.

Wasnt till i pulled the cooler hoses of the Rad and let it sit under 18psi pressure for awhile till i got some small amount of water drip out of the cooler .

now I just deleted the OEM cooler
and run a external trans cooler

obviously this will only help if u got a AUTO Z

    red32 You talkin' to me?

It's definitely engine oil. Car is manual.

well then only other thing is it COULD be a porous CHRA
but I would expect cross contamination in both fluids

hey its not common but have seen it

best way to check is remove both turbo drain hoses and pressurize cooling system and look for water out of the drains

It's definately just engine oil. Not milky at all. Pure black oil. My mechanics are stumped short of re-checking the turbos which just got put in.

They checked the head gasket when the engine was apart too.

Engine apart should mean new head gasket...everytime. If they've reused a head gasket, even if it looks ok, still major suspect.

Head bolts too, hopefully they have changed both...

That would be funny if I wasn't so pissed off. :p

It would seem to be that the turbo's are at fault. Good luck with that I say waiting on reply from manufacturers. So much fun.:mad:

    IB ?????

I hate to say it but this sounds a lot like the original problem that RZM2 had.
