WA NoR - Tech Day (25 April)

Hey fellas, Recently been told my zed (91, TT Auto Targa) needs a bit of loving, done the few bits that I can and have ended up working somehow (First car i've done proper work to myself). Not sure if this is true or not, but have heard that Zeds are very reliant on Tourque Tightened bolts to work to the best of their ability, so with this I would like some more experienced guys to come give me some guidance

Car has had (apprently) a fair bit of work done to her, mod list is fairly long, not sure if they are all working or whatnot, but theyre all there.

Issues:
- Rocker Cover gaskets need Replacing (leaking oil)
- Possible PS Vacuum line Leak
- Finding Exhaust Leak
- rear end tends to 'Jump' Forward occasionally when I give her a bit of juice, not 100% sure what causes this, thinking something is wrong with the Diff
- Grinding noise when I attempt to turn the car on (Will take 3-4 grinds before she starts, only happens occasionally) Thinking Starter Motor?
- Replacing Fuel Pump that is louder then my turbo spool.
- Left exhaust is Shorter then Right somehow
- Exhaust is leaning on sway Bar

Any of these issues that I can fix at home with some help/guidance from Experienced Zedders will be heavily appreciated

Food, Drinks, beer, beds will be provided, depending how long the day(s) take, plenty of space to park cars, pizza shop and deli just down the road.

Looking at doing this around the end of April (25th-ish), just waiting for most of my parts to come in.

Grinding noise is probably an issue with flywheel teeth. Got another pump yet?

 

Yeah the guy I bought it off didnt look after it very well, lots of things wrong when I bought it. Just found a transmission fluid leak from under the tranny, not sure where its from, but seems to hate it when I put her into reverse.
Squeeling noise is also becoming a problem.
Lifter noise seems to be back.
This engine is doing my head in, considering buying a stock TT block and changing everything over to that one.

 

Think ill give this 1 a miss... forsee this being up on Gumtree within a couple months for an inflated price...

 

Uhh, alright then, This zed is going nowhere near gumtree for a VERY long time (years) as it is one of my dream cars

 

^Can confirm, this isn't another "riden21" saga.

Guy is pretty involved on a few other pages(as well as aus300zx fb page) and seems to genuinely love his car.

 

Thank you Derishus. I havnt had my Z for long, but I have dreamed on having one since I saw my first one way back when I was in Primary School. Not sure where you got that from though, Awegazm, but I can safely say if I can, I will keep this Z till I can love her no more.

Tossing up between working in my carport, or hiring out a Hoist at Mates garage.

Riden was a numbnut who may or maynot be dating a tranny... doubt we will ever have that kinda situation again
My dog is on 12 300zx pages on facebook... doesnt mean shit.. lol guess time will tell but I havent been off the mark with who will sell up quick for a long time..
