Been catching up on the nistune forums lately and came across this thread http://forum.nistune.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1279&start=0

    Interesting read.

What I am really interested in is this : http://www.dlpdesign.com/usb/io8.shtml

Basically, it allows up to 8 0-5v inputs which can then be set up for logging in nistune, much the same as connecting a WB with nistune.

So all your additional sensors (WB included) like boost pressure, exhaust temp etc etc can now be logged by nistune. I also like the idea of knock logging down towards the end of the first post in the thread.

$29 for the board. Who is interested in a GB?

I read MAP sensor in there... Does that mean we can run a MAP sensor off Nistune?

What other benefits are there for the less informed of us??

edit: Just had another read, it seems like it just logs the data... What benefit does this provide?

    AndyMac Better than you

So that when your flogging it around a track (as you would never do that on a public road) you can analyse the data when your done. Looking at boost pressure, vs AFR's, vs Throttle Position, vs oil pressure, vs RPM, vs speed, etc

For those that want to edge a little more out of their ecu.

such a timely post. fantastic reference to the nistune

forum and the io card looks like a great size and price.

What a learning curve I have in front of me. I think I understand what is going on but looks like I am going to need to turn off the internet and read more stuff. Good times though.

Might be interested. If I can get my head around exactly what the hell these things do that is.

Hey Mike, I tried to buy one of these ages ago, the only seller that would sell to OS (Australia) had a minimum spend of $100, so I did not buy, I am in if you can get something off the ground.

    Update,

Ok so the $29 price is US and he wouldn't sell to me unless I wanted 300 or more.

He did however put me onto a supplier who sells to Aus but they have set prices per quantity, as follows:

    1: $40.43 10: $39.29 50: $36.79 100: $36.11
On the plus side, they offer free shipping on orders above 5, so it would only be domestic shipping on top of the price.

Also, here's the datasheet for anyone interested.

Have contacted the supplier to see if there is any movement on the prices. Will update accordingly.

At this stage, I'll probably get 10 even if we don't get those numbers and sell them off later once everyone realises how awesome these are ;)

So, assuming the actual pricing of $39.29 (+ domestic shipping), who still wants one?

Stupid question, but can Nistune accept more 0-5V inputs? IIRC it can only log 4 channels at once.

If not can you get nistune to output RPM and TP to log in another program along with the additional inputs? Not much use having additional inputs if you can't tie it all together.

Either way I want one :p

Seems to have quite a few (looks like 6)?. They are configured like a wideband is, in that you set a lookup table (0-5v) and specify the value you want nistune to show.

Sweet, I'll do some playing tonight. I've really got to get off my arse and give the zed a bit of a tune before that training day in August, don't want to blow it up!
